The Bold and the Beautiful News: Karla Mosley Honors Historic Site

While The Bold and the Beautiful is back and currently airing new episodes, Karla Mosley hasn’t reported back to work yet. She’s currently on the east coast and revealed a historic landmark she felt compelled to visit.

Karla Mosley Pays Tribute To Martin Luther King Jr.

Mosley, who has played Maya Avant on the CBS soap since 2013, shared images from her visit to the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tenn. — the historic location where legendary Civil Rights icon Martin Luther King Jr. was gunned down by an assassin on April 4, 1968, when he was only 39 years old.

“It felt necessary to make one short stop on our drive last night,” writes Mosley. “The scripture in front of the site where #martinlutherking was murdered reads: Behold, here cometh the dreamer. Let us slay him and see what becomes of his dream. (Gen. 37:19-20)

Her moving Instagram post received a reaction from one of BB’s Daytime Emmy-winning scribes, Michele Val Jean, who simply said, “Wow.” Mosley answered back adding, “So powerful. I whispered, ‘Thank you.'”

Mosley wrote this post for her Instagram followers on Tuesday just before another moment in black history occurred — when Senator Kamala Harris was announced as Joe Biden’s vice presidential running mate.
