The Young and the Restless spoilers for Wednesday, August 12, 2020, reveal another day of Abby and Phyllis fighting over hotel supremacy in Genoa City. But this time it looks like a battle is won.

Abby (Melissa Ordway) turns down Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) generous offer of ‘Pick A Building, Any Building, Just Leave Phyllis Alone’ — yes, it was tempting, but nope, she wasn’t going to do it and she explained it all to Chance (Donny Boaz). It just didn’t feel right. Chance didn’t particularly care at the moment and just wanted to take Abby to bed, so we saw our first fade-to-black pandemic GC love scene before we could really see anything.
After their little romp, Abby and Chance both noticed that the construction sounds stopped but they couldn’t figure out why.
Phyllis and Nick: Honesty
Switch to Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Nick who also notice things have gotten eerily quiet and they both feel their job is done. Nick thinks Abby decided to take the building and stop the current construction and Phyllis is sure her dinosaur bones have been found. (As Amanda said, she had a bonafide plan.)

In a surprising move, Nick and Phyllis even tell one another what they did. Honesty in their relationship. Summer (Hunter King), who earlier told her mom she didn’t expect this parental reunion to last, would be stunned. It’s Phyllis who is the most touched and can’t believe Nick would just hand Abby a building so that her Grand Phoenix hotelier dreams could come true.
When Phyllis told Nick about the dinosaur bones, he was neither shocked (this is Phyllis) nor too disappointed in her for playing a trick on Abby. Hmmm…great brother there.

But then we go back to Abby and Chance’s room and Abby gets a phone call that seems ominous before she even answers the phone. And it might give her the real reason that the construction finally stopped… The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
