The Bold And The Beautiful (BB) Recap: The Calm Before The Storm

The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) recap for January 18 features more signs of an impending storm brewing between brothers and enemies.

A New Leaf?
Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) showed up at Spencer to (rub it in) thank Bill (Don Diamont) for signing off on the annulment so quickly. Of course, Bill sees no reason to stay married to a woman who’s sleeping with Ridge.

Even so, Bill is Steffy’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) father-in-law, and Ridge wants to make more of an effort to at least be civil during family parties. Bill’s game, but only to a point.

Of course, Bill’s subdued behavior caused Ridge to speculate about a new woman, and while Bill declined to discuss it, clearly it’s only a matter of time before Ridge learns the truth and things go sideways.

Later, Justin (Aaron D. Spears) gave Bill a warning that the truth will eventually come out about why Steffy and Liam (Scott Clifton) split, and it almost looked like that’s what Bill wanted.

Less Than Thrilled
Meanwhile, at Forrester Creations a surprised Thorne heard the “happy” news about his brother and Brooke.

At first, he assumed that the wedding is months away, but then Rick (Jacob Young), Maya (Karla Mosley), and Nicole (Reign Edwards) explained it’s an annulment and not a divorce, which means the wedding will take place as soon as possible.

Later, Thorne stopped by to talk to ridge Ridge, but Brooke informed him he’s out visiting Steffy. There Thorne couldn’t quite bring himself to congratulate Brooke, but he did give her a couple of warnings about saying “I do” to his brother… again.

A Troubled Daughter
Ridge was shocked to hear of Steffy’s heartbreak over Liam. He thought she and Brooke would discuss Steffy’s upcoming Matron of Honor duties, but Brooke told him that wasn’t how things went down. Brooke said a heartbroken Steffy needs her father, so Ridge went to Steffy’s.

Steffy greeted her dad with a near lifeless congratulations on his engagement. But, Ridge wasn’t there to discuss the wedding. He wanted to talk to Steffy about her own marriage. Steffy sobbed, and said she doesn’t want him to hate her, but why would he hate her? Ultimately, she prepared to give him the shock of his life…
