While these days on The Young and the Restless (YR), Devon hears perfectly thanks to a surgery, before that procedure became available he received a Cochlear Implant.
Devon (Bryton James) most wanted to hear his parents say “good morning, son” if the implant actually worked when it was activated, which was a concern after the surgery.
The reason he wanted to hear that so much is that Dru (Victoria Rowell) and Neil (Kristoff St. John) decided to adopt him as an adult. Fans may remember that at the time, Devon had recently faced a murder charge for a murder he didn’t commit.
