The General Hospital (GH) recap for Thursday, January 18 features high drama in Port Charles’ race for mayor. May the best man or woman win–as long as nobody drops out for real.

Mayoral Drama
Ned (Wally Kurth) asked Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) to be his legal counsel for his campaign and she absolutely refused, saying she can’t do it because she can’t support his platform.

She then offered to become Laura’s legal counsel, but by the end of the hour, something happened to make Laura (Genie Francis) feel she needed to end her candidacy.

Homeless?
Meanwhile, Molly (Haley Pullos) ended up with no place to live and said she would be fine fending for herself, but instead it looks like she and TJ (Tequan Richmond) are going to end up moving in with Alexis temporarily.

Suspicious Man
Franco (Roger Howarth) had his own issues with this Charles Street project as Jim Harvey (Greg Evigan) still wanted to buy his art studio, while also claiming to know so much about his childhood.

He told Franco he remembered a second child named Andy, but that he died suddenly of a heart condition. Franco told Jim that Betsy lied about that.

Finding Faison
While real estate and a mayoral race took up much of the episode, the search for Faison (Anders Hove) continued. Lulu (Emme Rylan) made amends to Maxie (Kirsten Storms) for running that story, but then they both swore they saw a man who looked like Faison.

When Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Nathan (Ryan Paevey) drew their guns and went after him, they learned it wasn’t Faison at all but the building super.

However, we did see a man we can assume is Faison at a secret hideout going over old news stories and zeroing in on Maxie.

General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
