Veteran fans of The Bold and the Beautiful recall Maitland Ward’s tenure as Jessica Forrester in the mid-1990s. The actress has since gone on to work in a variety of fields, including the adult film industry and now, she has news about the release of her upcoming memoir titled Rated X.
Maitland Ward Announces Memoir – Rated X
“I’m so EXCITED I can finally reveal my Book cover & Title for my upcoming Memoir from @simonandschuster & @atriabooks,” Ward shared in an Instagram post, which can be seen below. “It will be released July 5, 2022! The presale campaign starts January 15th, but you can preorder now on every major book dealer site!
“There will be US & overseas book signing tour & a massive PR campaign with talk show and radio appearances everywhere!” Ward previews of the book’s media schedule. “I can’t wait to share this story with you. I hold nothing back and you will get the most intimate look at my personal and professional life! Thank you to everyone who made this possible.”
Ward’s Days As B&B’s Jessica
Ward brought Jessica to B&B after her parents — John (Fred Willard) and Maggie (Barbara Crampton) — were having problems. Jessica and Forrester intern Dylan Shaw (Dylan Neal) embarked on a romance that met with disfavor from Jessica’s overprotective guardians, Eric Forrester (John McCook) and Stephanie (Susan Flannery).
During Ward’s B&B tenure, Jessica’s stories included letting Sly Donovan (Brent Jasmer) think he had impregnated her. Jessica and James (Ian Buchanan) introduced a ‘Baby Think It Over’ (now called RealCare Baby) doll to Sly so he’d have an idea of what he’d be getting in for as a parent. After finding out that Jessica lied to him, Sly raped her. He presumably died in a fire at the Bikini bar. Jessica moved to England to continue her studies.
Post-B&B, Ward joined the cast of Boy Meets World as Rachel. She also appeared on the big screen in the film White Chicks. Ward, who works in the adult film industry, is in the cast of The Big Time, a series, per IMDB, about “A world-famous adult superstar trying to save a waning film studio on the brink of collapse.”
