In the August 12 episode of General Hospital, Drew and Willow proved that their kids are just props in their quest to inflict pain on those they hate, like Jason and Michael. The soon-to-be exes showed that they really are made for each other as they thrive on power trips and revenge, all in the name of love for their kids.
Key Takeaways
- Sad Scout was back, and Drew ignored her feelings.
- Michael gave Willow an olive branch, but she turned it into revenge.
- Drew and Willow don’t care that they are hurting their children.
The Pain Scout Feels Doesn’t Matter to Drew
Once again, Scout (Kayden Brenna Tokarski) had the saddest look on her face as Drew (Cameron Mathison) talked to her about Danny (Asher Antonyzyn). Drew wasn’t even fazed by how unhappy his daughter looked.
Instead, he remained laser-focused on proving he knows what’s best for her. Drew blamed Jason (Steven Burton) for Danny’s reckless behavior, which Drew insisted put Scout in danger.
Even as Scout appeared so miserable as Drew talked at her, not to her, Drew just babbled on to the point she said okay just to shut him up. Not once did Scout’s feelings register with him. Drew only cared about hurting Jason through Danny, and that was crystal clear.
Willow Cares More About Payback Than Her Kids
Meanwhile, Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) wasted no time demanding that Michael (Rory Gibson) hand over the kids since she had proof Jacinda (Paige Herschell) had drugged her. Michael denied he was involved, but it only fueled Willow more to take the kids away from him.
Even when Michael admitted to her that all the animosity and anger were hurting Wiley (Viron Weaver), it did nothing to change her tune. In fact, Willow also declared that the tension had hurt Amelia (Sienna Goerisch), but in the end, she chose hate.
Michael offered Willow the children for the rest of the week and told her to think about the kids’ situation for their sake. When Willow relayed everything to Nina (Cynthia Watros), she gloated that Michael caved and would only see her children on her terms.
The Children Are Paying the Price
It’s pretty funny that Drew and Willow are literally the same awful person, but they are getting a divorce. Neither of them has ever had to pay for their consequences, which only pushes their hateful agenda toward those who they feel have wronged them.
However, they aren’t getting the revenge they think they are; instead, they’re hurting Scout, Wiley, and Amelia. Until Willow and Drew can see that, they will continue to be the worst parents in Port Charles, and that’s saying a lot when Jason doesn’t even acknowledge one of his sons.
One day, Amelia, Wiley, and Scout will learn they were nothing more than pawns in their parents’ act of revenge and hate. Personally, I can’t wait for that to happen and for Willow and Drew to lose their children.
Maybe Scout will channel her inner Sam (Kelly Monaco) soon and tell her father off. One can hope, right?
