Some of daytime’s biggest soap stars were born in October. Soap Hub has compiled a list of all their birthdays, so you can send your favorite actors and actresses your very best wishes via Twitter and Instagram. Or, if you like, you could go the old-fashioned route and mail them an actual card.
Soap Stars Celebrating In October
If you are a Libra (September 23 – October 22), here are some of your traits. Libra is the seventh sign of the zodiac and is an air sign symbolized by the scales of justice. As we more fully step into the fall season, we enter the Libra season — ruled by Venus, the planet that governs love, beauty, and money. Libras are focused on balance and harmony. Libras love art, fashion, intellectualism, and being surrounded by beauty. Accordingly, these air signs make excellent attorneys, designers, decorators, art critics, and stylists.
Libras are focused on companionship and relationships. The ladies like a sharp-dressed man. The men like attractive arm candy. And if someone outside their relationship finds them attractive, well, it is very appealing. A good place for their sense of balance and fairness to step in.
Negative traits of Libras are taking the opposite side of any argument just for the sake of it, indecision, not trusting their own intuition, being too mindful of what others think, attention-seeking outside the boundaries of their relationships, over-spending, and people-pleasing to a fault.
The month kicks off with Ted King (Jack Finnegan, The Bold and the Beautiful) celebrating birthday #57 on October 1. Two days later, on October 3, soap alum Jack Wagner (ex-Frisco Jones, General Hospital; ex-Nick Marone, B&B) will be turning 63. The next day, on October 4, Brandon Barash (Stefan O. DiMera, Days of our Lives) turns 43.
Two soap star alums are going the cake and candles route, too. Wes Ramsey (ex-Peter August, GH) turns 45 on October 6, while former B&B star Jeff Tracta (ex-Thorne Forrester) turns 62.
Two GH alums will be celebrating as Derk Cheetwood (ex-Max Giambetti) turns 49 on October 8, and James DePaiva (ex-Dr. David Bensch) turns 65.
Cady McClain (Jennifer Rose Horton Deveraux, DAYS) toasts her special day on October 13. She’s turning 53.
Former GH favorite Vanesa Marcil (ex-Brenda Barrett) has a birthday, too. She turns 54 on October 15. One day later, former DAYS star Kyler Pettis (ex-Theo Carver) will be celebrating a milestone as he turns 30.
Meanwhile, Jon Lindstrom (Kevin Collins/Ryan Chamberlin, GH) turns 65 on October 18. His co-star and onscreen stepson Marcus Coloma (Nikolas Cassadine) is also blowing out the birthday candles that day. He’ll be turning 44.
Switching gears to the CBS soap set, Hunter King (ex-Summer Newman, The Young and the Restless ) will turn 29 on October 19, while B&B’s Dick Christie (Charlie) toasts #74 on October 21.
If you are a Scorpio (October 23 – November 21), here are some of your traits. Scorpio is the eighth sign of the zodiac and is a water sign symbolized by the Scorpion. Scorpio is co-ruled by Mars, the planet of action, sex, strength, and courage, and Pluto, the planet of transformation, the underworld, life, death, and rebirth. If Scorpio had to be described with just one word, that word would be intensity! Other traits include the ability to dive into deep emotions, personal magnetism, confidence, spot-on intuition, and being extremely goal-oriented.
Scorpios can size people up accurately. It is unsettling to others of lesser intensity which sometimes causes instant fear of Scorpios. Or stirs up feelings of jealousy. For those who can handle the intensity, it inspires instant loyalty and trust. If you give a Scorpio your trust, you will have a loyal friend for life. A warrior on your side. As a sexual partner, they can take you to places that no one else can!
Negative traits of Scorpios are jealousy, stubbornness, possessiveness, control issues, addictions, being stuck in their ways, difficulty making changes, obsessiveness, pessimism, negativity, and even a little bit of paranoia. On the flip side, part of their gifts is transmutation: the ability to turn poison into medicine, meaning taking a bad experience and transforming it into something good.
Y&R vet Doug Davidson (Paul Williams) will be partying too on October 24, when he turns 68. The next day, on October 25, beloved DAYS alum Christopher Sean (ex-Paul Narita) will be turning 37.
On October 27, former GH soap star Briana Lane (ex-Brook Lynn Quartermaine) is turning 37. That same day, One Life to Live alum Eddie Alderson (ex-Matthew Buchanan) will be blowing out candles as he turns 28.
Lexi Ainsworth, who’s finally being featured more as Kristina Davis Corinthos on GH, is celebrating, too. And it’s a milestone birthday: The Big 3-0 on October 28.
October 29 is a popular birthdate for the soap stars contingent. Victoria Konefal (ex-Ciara, Days) turns 26; Dan Feuerriegel (EJ DiMera, DAYS) toasts #41; and Finola Hughes (Anna Devane, GH) turns 63.
The very next day, October 30. Kristina Wagner (Felicia Scorpio, GH) turns 59, while Paul Telfer (Xander Cook, DAYS) turns 43.
Finally, the revelry wraps up on October 31. Who celebrates their birthday on Halloween? DAYS’ Deidre Hall (Marlena Evans Black) and B&B’s Scott Clifton (Liam Spencer), who turns 37.
October 2022 Overview
The spooky season of October begins on a high note, with Mercury turning direct on October 2nd and Venus, the planet of love and relationships, in opposition to Jupiter in Aries, inspiring passion and an appreciation of all your surroundings. You will feel a surge in energy and an inspiration to begin planning and accomplishing goals that have been stalled or on hold. On October 8th, the planet of Pluto, which has been in retrograde for six months, turns direct. Power struggles have been highlighted, and now be prepared for resolutions or a light shining on where you may have been led astray.
A full moon in Aries on October 9th will give you a surge of energy, motivating you, and activating your need to compete. Mercury enters chatty Libra on October 10, opening up communication in all relationships. Saturn Retrograde will end on October 23, followed by a new moon solar eclipse on October 25th. Pair this up with the beginning of the Scorpio season on October 23 and Venus entering Scorpio, and you will find transformative energies working through your relationships and life-altering changes, especially for the fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius).
Overall, October looks like a great reset. A time for sudden changes and miracles. Where you have felt stuck, you will be able to make progress. The tide is turning for the better, and for that, we can all feel grateful. Spooky season doesn’t seem too scary after all.
