Who’s coming and who’s going from the soap opera casts of The Bold and the Beautiful (BB), Days of our Lives (DAYS), General Hospital (GH), and The Young and the Restless (YR)?
Soap Opera Casting for the week of March 13, 2023
Here’s a list of the top exit and entrance news from all four daytime dramas.
Days of our Lives
Days of our Lives is chock full of big returns, this week, starting with Peter Reckell and Kristian Alfonso as Bo and Hope Brady. Reckell, who was revealed to be alive as Bo on Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem 2, begins airing on Thursday, March 16. Meanwhile, Alfonso is back on screen as Hope on Friday, March 17.
Also returning for Bo and Hope’s storyline will be Victoria Konefal as the supercouple’s daughter, Ciara Brady Weston. And she’ll be joined by Robert Scott Wilson, who’s currently playing Alex Kiriakis on the soap opera. Wilson will resume his previous role as Ben Weston, Ciara’s husband.
Christopher Sean makes another appearance as Paul Narita on Thursday, March 16. Look for John Black (Drake Hogestyn) to pay his son a visit in San Francisco.
Colton Little, who debuted as Andrew Donovan on Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem 2, segues to the main soap on Thursday, March 16. He’ll share initial scenes with Steven Nichols’ Steve Johnson.
The Bold and the Beautiful
Thorsten Kaye is finally back on The Bold and the Beautiful scene as Ridge Forrester. The character, who left town months ago after Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) both dumped him, resurfaces on Wednesday, March 15.
The role of Ridge and Brooke’s son, RJ, has been recast. Joshua Hoffman (Shameless) is taking over as Ridge “RJ” Forrester, Jr. The character was last played by Anthony Turpel. RJ was last seen in 2018 when he went off to boarding school in Europe.
Henry Joseph Samiri pops back in as Douglas Forrester. Thomas Forrester’s (Matthew Atkinson) and Hope Logan Spencer’s (Annika Noelle) son appears on Tuesday, March 14.
The Young and the Restless
Mishael Morgan resurfaces as Amanda Sinclair on the soap opera, this week. The character will play a key role in Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) and Lily Winters’s (Christel Khalil) battle over Chancellor-Winters on The Young and the Restless. Lily hired Amanda to represent her in court.
General Hospital
ESPN host Stephen A. Smith returns to General Hospital for another appearance as Brick. Look for Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) security chief to pop into Port Charles to tend to some business for his boss this week.
B&B is one of four soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include Days of our Lives (DOOL), General Hospital (GH), and The Young and the Restless (YR). The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
