Quinn Fuller Forrester has made her mistakes on The Bold and the Beautiful but the woman has had it with the Logan women – especially Donna – interfering in her marriage. For her portrayal of a wife who is drawing a firm line in the sand, Soap Hub bestows Performer of the Week honors for B&B on Rena Sofer (Quinn).
After venting to BFF Shauna Fulton (Denise Richards) about her problems with Eric Forrester (John McCook), Quinn (Rena Sofer) bolted over to the Forrester Creations executive office and initiated a confrontation with Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis). Donna was only too happy to excuse herself and get back to the reception desk but Quinn wasn’t about to go unheard.
Either the episode’s writer, director, or Rena Sofer herself got the smart idea to have Quinn literally put a chair in front of the door, blocking Donna from exiting that way. (Hey, Donna, we think there’s a back exit you can go out next time!) Quinn was loaded for (Honey) Bear – she let Donna know in no uncertain terms that she needed to back off from Eric.
Donna felt secure that she was one up on Quinn, knowing she’d helped Eric feel like his old self again. However, Donna soon realized that Quinn wasn’t happy. “Think!” Rena Sofer’s Quinn barked at Donna. “What is that you might have done recently that might have upset me? Something that may have been inappropriate with Eric? I know, Donna. I know what you’ve been up to with my husband.”
Donna tried to stammer her way out of the confrontation but Quinn wasn’t going to let that happen. “I am so sick of you Logan women always interfering in my marriage,” Quinn stated. (She has a point; ladies, get some lives!) “First, Brooke, then, Katie, [and] now, you. At least the first two want to talk Eric to death but you took it to a whole other level.”
Quinn informed Donna that yes, her marriage to Eric has had problems and Eric has been going through a lot – but that doesn’t mean it’s okay for Donna to stick her nose (or her honey-covered finger) in her marriage. “What is it with you Logan women? You’re like, ‘Oh! I see a married man. Good! That’s my challenge,'” an angry Quinn stated, sounds much like Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery), Eric’s late wife, would when she’d tear into Brooke.
In her best breathless Brooke, an exasperated Donna insisted it wasn’t like that! (Umm yeah, Donna, it kind of was.) Quinn wasn’t interested in hearing Donna’s denials. “How stupid do you think I am? You can shut up,” Quinn (Rena Sofer) said. She doesn’t care that Donna and Eric have a past. “Lighting may have struck once with you. It’s not going to strike again.”
Quinn kept using the chair as a weapon. First, she employed it to block Donna’s exit. Then, she used it so that Donna, pressed up against a desk, couldn’t walk away. She had no choice but to hear Quinn’s ultimatum, which she impressed upon the Forrester Creations receptionist by saying it three different times.
“You are never going to see my husband ever, ever again,” Quinn informed Donna. We can imagine Eric’s not going to take too fondly towards Quinn over her actions – or will he? Maybe he’ll be flattered? Like Stephanie, Quinn is determined to keep Eric as her husband. And she’s not going to let any Logan woman – or anyone else – get in her way. Brava to Rena Sofer for such a passionate performance!
