On today’s The Bold and the Beautiful episode, Thomas Forrester put forth a not-at-all-sincere apology to his favorite (metaphorical) punching bag, Brooke Logan. For some reason, she bought into it.
In addition, Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) elicited a promise from Deacon (Sean Kanan), and Hope (Annika Noelle) hedged when it came to telling her husband what it would take to save her clothing line. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) was incredulous. How could Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) be seriously considering pausing production on Hope For The Future, let alone terminating the line completely?
Taylor (Krista Allen) pointed out that there was a big dip in sales, which Brooke acknowledged. But dips are expected when a line goes through a transitional period. Taylor gave her that point.

But at least there’s a potential solution on the table that’ll fix everything: “Thomas!” After soft-selling Brooke on the pros of bringing Thomas back aboard HFTF, Taylor then oh so casually mentioned that the foundation for their newfound kinship was laid by Thomas’s subterfuge. Perhaps her son’s meddling was worthwhile after all…huh? Huh?
Enter Thomas. He’d come to apologize to Brooke, really apologize for his role in the destruction of her marriage…and to not so casually mention that the foundation for Brooke and Taylor’s newfound kinship was laid by his subterfuge. Perhaps his meddling was worthwhile after all…huh? Huh?
Brooke blanched…then seemed to somewhat come around. But there was the Hope of it all. How was she to trust Thomas around her daughter? How were any of them supposed to believe that Thomas wouldn’t grow obsessed with the apparent object of his affection?
Thomas swore that he was a changed man. That his time in therapy had been more than therapeutic, and that he’s changed into a better man for his son’s sake. Brooke seemed willing to give Thomas 4.0 a shot.
Sheila realized she’d screwed up big time. Were Bill (Don Diamont) to find out that she’d cheated on him — and with Deacon of all people — he could very well have her eliminated.
While Deacon tried to calm his lover, she bemoaned her current predicament. “The more time I spend with [Bill]…he is all over the place. One minute he’s gushing to me about his life, and his past, and he wants me to open up about mine to him, and the next it’s like he struggles to be near me. Sometimes I…I really wonder where I stand with Bill.”
Having concluded that Bill is an addict whose drug is the initial romantic chase, Sheila wondered, “What happens when I’m that woman? When I’m the one that he wants to be done with?”
More importantly, what would happen if Bill ever finds out about Sheila and Deacon’s roll in the hay? Deacon mused that Sheila would be safer in prison.
Suddenly seized with terror, Sheila lunged at Deacon and begged/demanded that he promise he’ll never, ever tell anyone about their lovemaking. Deacon readily did so.
Elsewhere, their homey hideaway in the woods to be precise, Hope and Liam (Scott Clifton) basked in their togetherness and set about catching each other up on their day.
Liam was flabbergasted to hear that HFTF was in such dire straits and lamented the many losses that Hope has suffered as of late — physical custody of Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri) paramount among them.
Still, Liam was thoroughly convinced that Douglas would be over his “extended vacation,” in no time flat and back where he belonged. He was also sure that Hope would figure out how to make HFTF tops again.
The conversation then turned to Liam’s concern for Bill, and his growing suspicion that his father had something up his sleeve where Sheila was concerned.
Speaking of Bill, he heartedly welcomed Sheila’s return and relayed the contentious convo he just had with Liam — but Sheila should have no fear. Even though Liam did insist to Bill that Sheila couldn’t be trusted, Bill knows that that’s not the case. And he knows because, “Liam knows, you know, everyone knows that nobody betrays me and gets away with it. Nobody.“
