The Bold and the Beautiful recaps for July 11 – July 15, 2022, feature a resurrection we saw coming weeks ago. Why try and fool seasoned soap fans?
Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) treats Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) to lunch at Il Giardino. The meal’s location chagrins Liam, which in turn steers the conversation towards a rumination on Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and her untenable loss… Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) and Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) bask in each other’s company.
Ridge Forrester’s (Thorsten Kaye) sharp rebukes of Deacon faze Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle) and Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang)… Mike Guthrie (Ken Hanes) bids Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) to abandon her vigil at John “Finn” Finnegan’s (Tanner Novlan) bedside and let nature take its course.
With an assist from Deputy Chief Bradley Baker (Dan Martin), Brooke and Ridge connect some dots, namely that prison guard Richard Michael Guthrie and former Forrester Creations security guard Mike Guthrie are one and the same. They insist on being present when Baker interrogates Mike.
Sheila entreats Mike to watch over Finn while she takes a shower. Finn takes the opportunity to try and convince Mike to turn Sheila in for her crimes; Mike doesn’t take the bait.
Finn overexerts himself and Sheila wrangles him back into his bed. Finn begins to question the validity of Sheila’s claim that it was she who spirited away from the hospital and nursed him back to health. Sheila admits that she worked in concert with Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda). Finn demands to know what fate befell his mother.
Hope pays Deacon a visit. They discuss his lingering trauma from having found Steffy and Finn in the alley and Hope gently prods as to whether Deacon has had any contact with Sheila; he assures her that he has not… Despite immense pressure exerted by Baker, Ridge, and Brooke, Mike doesn’t budge from his cover story. He swears that he had nothing to do with Sheila’s escape and that he has no idea where she’s hiding out.
Sheila recalls the events leading up to Li’s seeming death. Finn accuses Sheila of purposefully murdering his mother… Taylor, Ridge, and Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) learn that Steffy has entered a residential mental health facility… Wyatt and Bill dine at an out-of-the-way seafood joint. Afterward, Bill discovers a very much alive Li sequestered amongst the rubbish outside the eatery!
Unawares of Li’s true identity, Bill gains her trust and convinces her to accompany him back to his abode. Li rejects Bill’s offer to summon either medical help or a police presence, but she does perk up when mentions having sons… Ridge and Taylor worry about Steffy’s state of mind… An enraged Finn verbally eviscerates Sheila.
