The Bold and the Beautiful recaps for December 12 – December 16, 2022, sees history in the making — two enemies turned besties turning their back on the man sacrificed so much for.
Upon deducing that the disguised, nine-toed woman before her is Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown), Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) is paralyzed by flashbacks to the night she and John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) were shot. Sheila beats a hasty retreat… Steffy alerts Finn and Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) to Sheila’s presence and Finn alerts Deputy Chief Bradley Baker (Dan Martin).
When the coast is clear, Deacon phones Sheila and takes her to task for getting caught out… Sheila slowly but surely begins to crack… Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle) and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) ponder the implications of Sheila being alive and well and on the loose.
Deacon is given the chore of combing Il Giardino’s security cameras for proof of Steffy’s claims. When he locates said footage, he gives Sheila a heads up, then erases the evidence. Steffy and Finn are disheartened to come away empty-handed… Deacon readies himself to make a quick exit from L.A… Hope points out to Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) that, should she find herself single once Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) makes his choice between her and Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen), she still has an admirer in Deacon… Steffy and Finn fill Hope and Brooke in about the former’s run-in with Sheila.
Taylor and Ridge return from their respective out-of-town jaunts… Taylor and Brooke connect and level with one another… Ridge receives a text message summoning him to Forrester Creations; he’s put out to find Taylor and Brooke together… Hope and Steffy each declare their mother the choice that Ridge will make.
Taylor and Brooke jointly declare to Ridge that they’re choosing themselves and that he’s on his own… Liam and Finn referee Steffy and Hope.
Taylor and Brooke retire to Brooke’s abode, both in celebratory moods. They rejoice in the freedom of no longer being love rivals and pledge not to let Ridge come between them again… A concerned Steffy and Hope make a beeline for their mothers and are surprised to find them sharing a cake. Further surprise abounds when they’re updated on the decision the two made concerning Ridge.
