In today’s The Bold and the Beautiful recap, Liam reads Hope for absolute filth and takes little to no responsibility for his own actions.
In addition, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) worries about her daughter’s present and future while Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) gets Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) up to date. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
Despite Hope’s (Annika Noelle) plea that their marriage and family were worth fighting for, Liam (Scott Clifton) remained unswayed. While she may refuse to give up, while she still believes in the two of them, he does not. He can’t give her what she needs. He can’t forgive her. He can’t forgive her kiss with Thomas.
Yes, Thomas — the one man that Hope knew would end her relationship. She chose to pursue Thomas and now Liam wants a divorce. He’ll never be able to unsee what he saw. He’ll forever be haunted by the sight of her pulling Thomas in for a kiss. Thomas, of all people.

Hope blubbered that she’d forgiven Liam for so much worse than a kiss, but Liam was adamant. Yes, he still loves her, and no he doesn’t want to end things — but he has to. Hope chose to do the one thing that she knew he couldn’t survive [dramatic much?].
And what’s more, Liam knows that even now Hope would continue to prioritize Thomas over her family. She’d still work with him on the daily, she’d still huddle with him to discuss Douglas and his needs. She has feelings for Thomas, she’s attracted to him, and yet she spent months and months accusing Liam of being jealous and controlling, and unsupportive of her career. That he can not forgive.
Hope then asked for some clarification. Is Liam really closing the door on them? Also, has he seen Steffy since her smooch with Thomas? When Liam confirmed that he had, Hope made nasty insinuations [if only she knew] prompting Liam to declare that he hadn’t given Steffy a single thought until now [LIAR!]. And boy, is he thinking about her now! He’s also been thinking about how broken Hope must be deep down inside to want to be with the likes of Thomas. [Snap!]
At Forrester Creations, a worried-filled Brooke leaned on Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) who was more than happy to support her. Enter R.J. (Joshua Hoffman), who’d come to commiserate with his folks over what Hope and Liam are going through [because G-d forbid they actually work or get on with their own lives].
First, the trio debated why Hope did what she did. Then, they debated whether or not Hope and Liam’s marriage could survive the incident. Later, Brooke groused about her recent contentious convos with Hope during which Hope had spat she wanted to be nothing like her [sexually liberated] mother. Why must children be so cruel?
At the cliff house, Steffy let Thomas know that the cat was well and truly out of the bag — Liam had seen all. And in case he was worried, Steffy laid all the blame at Hope’s feet.
Sometime later, once Liam had taken his leave of Hope and retired to the office and Thomas had returned to his own [never before mentioned or seen] abode, Hope tore off out of her she-shed and into her would-be-lover’s arms. Oh isn’t it terrible that her husband knows their secret and that he hates her?
