In today’s The Bold and the Beautiful recap, Brooke confides in Ridge that her daughter had a bad, bad thing — not that they have any room to judge her.
In addition, Liam (Scott Clifton) got some sound advice, Hope (Annika Noelle) got coddled by her little brother, and Thomas’s (Matthew Atkinson) misadventures in Rome got called out. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
At Forrester Creations, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) loved up on one another after some gooey, romance talk. Finally pulling apart, Brooke shocked Ridge by relaying that Hope and Liam were separated and the reason why.
A flabbergasted Ridge decried Thomas’s return to his obsessive ways, only for Brooke to reveal that it was actually Hope who initiated the kiss.

Despite not liking the situation one little bit, Brooke and Ridge granted that they’d find themselves in similar circumstances — so caught up in a moment that their baser instincts get the better of them [like the time they made out on the floor of the on-site laboratory after creating BeLieF] — so who are they to speak out of turn?
Still, the two did wonder what this would mean for Liam and Hope as a couple. Brooke didn’t think the odds were in their favor. After all, Liam had walked out. And, he did ask for a divorce. Ridge, however, chose to look on the bright side. Liam and Hope are in love, and love has a way of helping people find their way back to each other.
Over at Spencer Publications, Wyatt (Darin Brooks) joined a brooding Liam and asked the million-dollar question: is he going back to Hope or not? Liam didn’t seem much enthused by the idea, but Wyatt pointedly pointed out that Liam has a family to think about. Isn’t he willing to fight for that? Isn’t he willing to try and find some kind of forgiveness? Isn’t he, at the very least, willing to let Hope try and explain herself and fix the damage she caused?
Meanwhile, at the cliff house, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) once again forwent confessing to Finn (Tanner Novlan) that she’d locked lips with Liam on two occasions and instead set about summoning Thomas so she could chastise him and make sure he wasn’t embarking on another obsessive odyssey where Hope was concerned.
Once Thomas had arrived and Finn departed, Steffy attempted to tease the truth out of Thomas, but he wasn’t biting. So, she had to come right out and say that she knows about the kiss he and Hope shared. Also, she lays the blame totally at Hope’s feet. What was she thinking?
Having been bolstered by R.J. (Joshua Hoffman) — who was sure his brother-in-law would be able to forgive his sister’s mistake — Hope was cautiously thrilled when Liam walked through the door. She issued an apology and begged for forgiveness and clung to the hope [no pun intended] that Liam’s presence meant that he was ready to try anew.
