On today’s Bold and the Beautiful, Bill Spencer expresses exactly what he feels for madwoman Sheila Carter, and no, it’s not the disgust that is expected of him.
In addition to Bill’s heartfelt statement, Taylor Hayes made an unsuccessful plea for sanity. Elsewhere, Katie (Heather Tom) and Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) take it upon themselves to get some answers, and Finn’s (Tanner Novlan) slip of the tongue threatens to give the game away. Now, let’s take a deeper look into what went on.
Taylor (Krista Allen) is at a loss. She’s also at an impasse with her daughter and son-in-law. As far as Taylor sees it, the only way to get Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) where she belongs — which is behind bars — is to sacrifice her own freedom. After all, Sheila and Bill (Don Diamont) can’t use Taylor’s long-ago shooting of Bill against her if she confesses her crime to the police. It only makes logical sense. But Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) doesn’t care about sense. She cares about her mother.

Please Mommy, please don’t tell cops what you did, Steffy blubbers and pleads. All right, okay, I won’t, huffs Taylor. But she still doesn’t plan on rolling over and letting Bill and Sheila get away with blackmailing them. No sir.
With that in mind, Taylor high-tails it over to Casa Spencer and lights into Bill. How could he? How could he let Sheila, SHEILA, of all people, out into the world, amongst all the innocents? What about his granddaughters? Huh? What about Kelly and Beth, especially Kelly? Sheila nearly killed Kelly’s mommy. Shot her in cold blood and left her to die in a trash-filled alley. How can Bill just let that go?
Pretty easy, it turns out. Sure, Sheila has done some pretty terrible things. Rotten things. But nothing wholly unforgivable. And besides — and this is what is truly important — Sheila just gets Bill. In fact, she completes him. She’s everything that he’s ever wanted in a woman…and more.
As Bill himself explained to Taylor, and an arriving Steffy, and to Sheila especially, “I thought I knew what it felt like to commit myself and to have the complete and utter devotion of a woman in return. But I was wrong. Meeting you, the time that we spent together…I finally know what that is supposed to feel like. I love you, Sheila.”
Katie (Heather Tom) and Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) are incredulous. Sheila, free? How can this be? How could the judge not be swayed by Steffy and Finn’s testimony concerning Sheila’s instability? Her murderous inclination? Who in their right mind would let that psycho walk? There has to be more to the story.
Speaking of story…how will Forrester Creations P.R. spin this? How to best script their public statement? Perhaps Steffy has an idea or two. Yes, good idea. And with that, Katie and Carter make tracks for the cliff house.
With Steffy chasing down Taylor, Finn was left alone to worry…and left to stew. And the more he stewed, the angrier he became. By the time Katie and Carter came bounding in, Finn was itching for a fight, and he wasn’t in the headspace to choose his words carefully — hence his clueing Katie into the fact that she had Bill to thank for their current predicament.
