In The Bold and the Beautiful recap for November 27, 2023, Ridge makes a heartfelt request of his pops.
Bold and the Beautiful Recap Highlights
In addition, everyone gets melancholy over Eric’s situation, and Deacon and Hope reach an impasse. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
Shades Of Blue
At Forrester Creations, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), and RJ (Joshua Hoffman) huddled in the office that wasn’t Eric’s (John McCook) to reflect on the last few days. Thanksgiving was a blast…except for the whole pretending that they don’t know that Eric is slowly dying.
Ridge mused that he took for granted that Eric would always be there. But now he’s slipping away, more and more every day, and they have to pretend like everything is fine at home and at the office. It’s just getting to be too much.
As for RJ, his parents wanted to make sure he was processing. Also, they didn’t want him to take everything on his (broad) shoulders. RJ demurred. He can handle anything and everything that comes his way. He loves working alongside his gramps. He loves assisting in bringing Eric’s vision to life. And he loves watching how the process energizes Eric.
No House Calls For Eric
Across the hall, Katie (Heather Tom) and Donna (Jennifer Gareis) sang Eric’s praises and took in the sight of him back behind his desk. Right where he belongs.

Eric crowed about his chance to create beauty and be celebrated for his efforts. What could be better? As for his upcoming collection, he’s pulling out all the stops. Heck, he’ll even up Katie’s PR budget. That’s how serious he is.
Soon, the frivolity took a frightening turn when Eric was seized by yet another coughing fit. Donna and Katie implored him to see a doctor. No dice! Eric had no interest in visiting with his physician. He plans to spend his waning days creating beauty and facing his approaching death with courage and determination. If this really is to be his last collection, this is how he has to do it.
Later, Ridge and RJ moseyed over so the former could sneak a peek at Eric’s latest designs. Masterpieces, every one of them. Ridge then made a big ask of his dad: let him collaborate with him…for old times’ sake.
Line In The Sand
Meanwhile, Hope (Annika Noelle) arrived at Deacon’s (Sean Kanan) restaurant and made it crystal clear that she didn’t want to be there, especially if Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) was lurking somewhere nearby.
Deacon assured his daughter it was just the two of them, then proceeded to question her choice to involve herself with Thomas (Matthew Atkinson). Hope argued the same points that she’s been making for weeks, namely that Thomas has changed, that he’s loving, and that he doesn’t have conflicted feelings, unlike Liam (Scott Clifton). Also, Hope didn’t appreciate dating advice from the guy dating a psychopath like Sheila.
A debate then ensued as to whether or not a person was capable of change. Hope granted that Thomas and Deacon had put in the work, but Sheila would NEVER follow their example — mostly because she was missing her empathy chip.
Deacon despaired, and Hope dropped a bomb. If Deacon insisted on staying with Sheila and operating as her spokesman, he’d lose her and his family. FOREVER.
