In the Bold and the Beautiful recap for August 1, 2023, Kelly ratted out Finn and his poor (step)parenting to her flustered mommy.
Bold and the Beautiful Recap Highlights
In addition, Deacon (Sean Kanan) sat in awe of Sheila (Kimberlin Brown), and Liam (Scott Clifton) groused that his ex hadn’t reacted the way he would have preferred. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
B&B Recap: Mama Drama
Much to Steffy’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) irritation, Liam nervously paced back and forth, anxiously awaiting the arrival of Finn (Tanner Novlan) and Kelly. Steffy apologized for her husband’s tardiness and for the daddy/daughter day that Liam would seemingly be missing out on. She couldn’t fathom what was keeping the pair.
Liam launched into another assault on Finn’s character, arguing that, seeing as how Finn clearly had unresolved feelings about Sheila, he [Liam] no longer has faith in Finn’s ability to parent or protect.

Meanwhile, Finn profusely thanked Sheila for saving Kelly…then insisted that she needed to continue to keep her distance. Also, he can’t see anymore.
Back at the cliff house, Liam waxed nostalgic about the day Kelly was born (yes, again) and attempted to shoo away a business call. Eventually, he left to put out the (metaphorical) fire that Wyatt (Darin Brooks) apparently couldn’t attend to.

Minutes later, Finn and Kelly arrived — and the wee one had some news for Mommy. Something scary happened to her at the beach, namely that she almost drowned! Luckily Finn’s mommy saved her. No, not Li (Naomi Matsuda). Sheila!
Once Kelly was out of sight (and presumably earshot), Steffy blasted the Finn. What the Hell happened?! She was mortified to hear that he turned his back on Kelly to take a phone call. You NEVER do that with a child! And then there was the Sheila of it all.
When Steffy made rumblings about Sheila being anywhere near the scene, Finn huffed that her presence was a good thing because she saved Kelly’s life.
The Bold and the Beautiful Recap: Credit Where It’s Due
Sheila made tracks back to Deacon’s place, and he begrudgingly allowed her back inside. (As if there was any doubt that he would.) She relayed her Baywatch-esque antics, and Deacon issued kudos. He thought she was crazy — make that “misguided” — in her belief that she could create a family with Finn, but he’s now under the impression that she might have just pulled off the impossible.
B&B Recap: Muted Response
At Spencer Publications, Wyatt cornered Liam and asked for an update. Did Steffy’s head explode when she saw that video? No, not exactly. Sure, Steffy wasn’t thrilled, but she didn’t react the way he did. More’s the pity.
