In The Bold and the Beautiful recap for October 11, 2023, Li does her utmost to run her niece out of town, but RJ’s sweet, sweet lips may just convince Luna to stay put.
In addition, Hope refused to give Deacon and Sheila her seal of approval, but Sheila decided to chalk up a win anyway. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
A stunned Li (Naomi Matsuda) demanded to know why Luna (Lisa Yamada) was in the Forrester Creations building. After the young woman explained that she needed a job and always wanted to work in fashion in general and at Forrester Creations in particular, Li testily wondered if Poppy (Romy Park) knew what she was up to.
Luna swore that her mother played no part in her landing her dream job. She interviewed and was hired on her merits alone (not really, right Donna?). Li refused to buy the story. It was all far too coincidental.

While Luna cried, Li hissed that she wasn’t welcome there and relayed her sordid history with Poppy. Turns out Li had vouched for Poppy who was hired to work at the same hospital in which Li toiled. There was a married man who piqued Poppy’s interest and an affair ensued. In the aftermath, Li very nearly lost her job.
As a result, she’s hated Poppy ever since, and that hatred has since been transferred to Luna as well. “Your time here at Forrester Creations is over!” Li insisted.
Ever dutiful, Luna followed Li’s instructions down to the letter — as in, she wrote a letter of resignation and left it on the nearby desk. But before she could depart, RJ (Joshua Hoffman) returned — fresh off a convo with Finn about his interest in a very special mystery girl.
Luna informed RJ that her time at FC had come to an end and that it was due to a family matter that she couldn’t discuss. Rather than accept Luna’s protests at face value, RJ pulled her into a kiss and declared that he wasn’t letting her go anywhere.
Over at Deacon’s (Sean Kanan) place, Hope (Annika Noelle) termed her father as insane as Sheila (Kimberlin Brown). How else to explain his involvement with the villainess?
Hope reminded Deacon of all the hard work he’d put in to change himself and how he’d done the things necessary to win back everyone’s trust. Was he really ready to throw all that away for the likes of Sheila?
Deacon, for his part, argued that Sheila was a changed woman. What’s more, he promised to be the person who would keep her on the straight and narrow. He’d personally see to it that she never hurt anyone again.
After Hope took her leave, Deacon all but admitted defeat. Sheila, on the other hand, thought the whole thing went rather well. Think about it, Hope hadn’t just turned around and ran (though that had been her first instinct). Instead, she stayed and listened to them. And Sheila especially thought that Deacon’s relaying how much he loved her might have swayed Hope just a smidge. Surely this bodes well for them all, Finn (Tanner Novlan) included.
Maybe their relationship will bring them all closer together. Maybe they can one day be “one big happy family.”
