Y&R spoilers rubbed our faces in Summer and Chance exchanging glances at Diane and Jack’s wedding vow renewal. The renewal to which Chance brought Sharon as his date. Or did Sharon bring Chance? But will Sharon (Sharon Case) stop Jill’s (Jess Walton) grandson from falling for Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Phyllis’s (Michelle Stafford) daughter? Something is brewing between Chance (Conner Floyd) and Summer (Allison Lanier) for sure.

On the one hand, Chance) seems to be a pretty upstanding guy. He is honest, true, and rule-following. And he knows what it’s like to be cheated on. It’s what Abby (Melissa Ordway) did to him with Devon (Bryton James). In theory, Chance would never do the same to Sharon. She’s been cheated on enough.

Of course, if Sharon were to reunite with Nick — which is always an option as long as either is alive and even dead it’s 50-50 odds — then Chance would be a free man and perfectly justified in exploring what might happen if he and Summer were to give a relationship a try.

But, then again, the heart wants what the heart wants. And Summer’s come-hither glance sure did suggest that her heart was all over the wanting Kyle (Michael Mealor) thing and was now making the switch to the wanting Chance thing.
Summer didn’t care that she wanted Kyle when Kyle wanted Lola (Sasha Calle). She was happy to blackmail Kyle into marriage. Would she be willing to go that far with Chance? Would she even need to? Chance obviously finds Summer equally as intriguing. And, yeah, he’s sweet. Yeah, he’s loyal and rule-abiding. But Summer is pretty. What other justification does he need?
