In The Bold and the Beautiful recap for August 29, 2023, Hope explains her position to Thomas, and it was a doozy.
In addition, RJ serves as Eric’s hands, and Sheila and Deacon are forced to scramble when Ridge and Carter stop by. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
With Hope (Annika Noelle) still so obviously unsure of how to proceed, Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) ceased pawing at her and granted that she did not deserve to feel this way — hurt, rejected, like she had to vie for a man’s affections.
Thomas then went on to use the Hope For The Future line as a metaphor for his and Hope’s and Liam’s (Scott Clifton) love triangle. Furthermore, he described Liam as a person who thrives on nostalgia while insisting that he (Thomas) and Hope were innovators staying true to themselves and the moment they find themselves in. (Yeah, it was all so profound and extremely shallow in equal measures.)

It finally came down to Thomas making yet another plea for Hope to realize that he’s the right man for her. That he’s the man who will forever love her and only her and in ways that no one else can.
Hope, for her part, leveled with Thomas about where she stood. She’s not the least bit in love with him. That said, she’s really hurting after Liam treated her so harshly, and she’d love to have Thomas comfort her with his body. Is that something he thinks that he could handle? Why yes, yes, he did!
Meanwhile, while Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) bemoaned the state of her daughter’s affairs (if only she knew) to anyone who’d listen to her, Deacon (Sean Kanan) bemoaned his inability to say no to Sheila (Kimberlin Brown).
Despite himself, he’d not been man enough to show her the door. Is it possible he’d taken too many kicks to the head during martial arts training? Sheila didn’t seem to think so. And she is grateful for Deacon giving her a roof over her head. Really grateful.
But before Sheila could show Deacon just how grateful she truly was, Carter (Lawrence St. Victor) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) beat on the door. They were there to talk to Deacon — and hunt for Sheila!
At the Forrester mansion, RJ (Joshua Hoffman) happily agreed to help his grandfather with his new collection and keep his arthritis diagnosis a secret. After getting one design out of the way, Eric (John McCook) declared that he and RJ were going to make a great team.
