B&B Recap For December 7: Brooke Throws Her All Behind Katie and Carter

The B&B recap for Wednesday, December 7, 2022, sees a woman voice approval of her sister’s potential beau while said sister deals with the fallout of dismissing another suitor out of hand.

In this episode, Brook Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) told Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) that she’d be happy to see him and Katie Logan (Heather Tom) become an official item. Elsewhere, Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) warned Katie that if she couldn’t be happy with him, then she couldn’t be happy with anyone, and John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) and Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) went looking for help in the last place you might expect. Now, let’s take a deeper look into what went on.

Bold and the Beautiful Recap: Approval Rating

After catching Brooke wistfully staring at some photographs of her and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), Carter made it abundantly clear that he was team ‘Bridge’ all the way and even offered to express that sentiment to Ridge should Brooke so desire.

Brooke thanked Carter, explained that Ridge was on an imposed walkabout during which he’ll finally decide whether he wanted to make a life with her or Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen), then changed the subject because she was finally, FINALLY through talking about herself and her relationship drama.

No, instead, Brooke would rather talk about Carter…well, Carter and Katie and whatever might be brewing between them. Brooke approves, just to be clear. She admires and respects Carter, she sees him as a man with integrity — his affair with Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer) notwithstanding — and she thinks that he’s perfect for Katie.

At the very least, he’s better for Katie than Bill. Try though she might, Brooke has not been able to keep Katie and Bill’s family together — and she’s tried so hard, her marriage to Bill notwithstanding — but after some of the things that Bill has said to her — probably things like, “I love you Brooke, only you,” and/or “You’re the woman that I want. Not Katie — she thinks that Katie should move on. Any man will do, really, but Carter seems like the best option.

B&B Recap: Promise-Cum-Threat

Unlike Brooke, Bill does not agree that Katie should move on — a fact that he makes crystal clear. Sure, he’s brought a lot of this on himself, and he is angry at his shortcomings, really he is, but he’s also steamed that Katie thinks she can just move on from him. That’s not going to happen.

He’s not going to give up on the idea of winning her back, and he hopes that Katie won’t give up on the idea of being won, because Bill is really her only option moving forward. He’s most decidedly not going to lose her. He needs her. He needs her now. He needs her like he’s never needed anyone before. He needs his Katie…and he’s not going to let his Katie go off with another man — especially Carter.

The Bold and the Beautiful Recap: The Plot Thickens

It’s taken them three episodes, but Finn and Steffy are now convinced that Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) still walks among them, alive and well, and on two feet with nine toes total. But how can they prove their theory? How best to convince the police they’re on to something and not just meddling loons?

Well, they could start by visiting Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) and getting his insight — which is exactly what they do. They couldn’t have picked a more inopportune moment, as Deacon was busy packing what belongings Sheila left behind. Still, he put on a brave face and promised to help if he could.
