The B&B recap for Wednesday, December 28, 2022, sees the sins of the parent — in this particular case, the mother — being revisited upon a child.
In this episode, Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) invokes a past misdeed committed by one Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) in order to bring Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) to heel. Elsewhere, Taylor and Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) took to complimenting each other, and Katie Logan (Heather Tom) and Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) continued their private celebration. Now, let’s take a deeper look into what went on.
Much to Steffy and John “Finn” Finnegan’s chagrin, Bill rides to Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) rescue. His reason for doing so? He understands what it is to be a pariah, to be someone deemed unworthy of a second chance.

After all, Bill has spent over a decade doing (fairly) right by the likes of Steffy, Brooke, and Katie, and look where it’s got him in the end. None of the women could care whether he lives or dies. But Sheila…well Sheila is a different story.
Sheila’s the kind who’ll never judge Bill, who’ll never recoil in horror at the sins he’s committed in the past. Sheila understands Bill, and Bill, in turn, understands Sheila.
As a result, he’s prepared to play hardball to ensure that Sheila doesn’t see the inside of a jail cell — and by hardball, we mean he’ll rat out Taylor as the shadowy figure who plugged him full of lead a few years back. Steffy is incredulous. Finn is even more so considering he had no idea his mother-in-law had it in her to shoot a man in the back.
At the catchall room at Forrester Creations that was once the Chief Executive Officer’s domain, Brooke and Taylor worried about the clear and present danger that is Sheila. Afterward, they worried about the clear and present danger that is one of them returning to Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye).
But don’t worry, they assured one another. Neither one wants to pick up where they left off with their mutual ex. They both like the women that they’ve become in the last week or so. They’re so proud of themselves. Their children are so proud of them. Also, Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) would be over the moon to hear Brooke swear that she doesn’t need a man to be happy. Ditto that Brooke and Taylor are now calling one another, “friend.”
Though the end of Christmas day is in sight for the fictitious Los Angelinos, Katie still has one last present to open, and it’s from Carter: a beautiful heart-shaped pendant, because, you know.
