Chelsea Lawson assured Victoria Newman and Billy Abbott that she will not try to push her way into Johnny Abbott’s life on The Young and the Restless. Except for forcing them to tell the boy she was his biological mother.

And then following him around. And then giving him an inappropriate gift. And then manipulating him into spending time with half-brother Connor Newman (Judah Mackey). And feeling sorry for her. Oh, and here’s another present, too. Should Victoria (Amelia Heinle) be worried?
Y&R: Uncertain
It’s hard to tell so far, 7% are still trying to figure out what Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) game plan is. She’s a con artist and a master manipulator. So she’s either using Johnny (Paxton Mishkind) to get to Billy (Jason Thompson), or using Billy to get to Johnny. Victoria should definitely be on alert.
The Young and the Restless: Blood Ties
Of course, Victoria should worry, 21% are raising the alarm. Despite initially saying he wasn’t interested, Johnny is obviously slipping deeper under Chelsea’s spell. And she knows how to weave one. Look how she’s got Connor obsessed with her well-being to the point where the boy needed therapy with Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) to overcome his fear of letting Chelsea out of his sight.

Chelsea has Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) feeling guilty for driving her to a place where she tried to frame him for murder, and Billy apologizing for her raping him. This woman is a pro. Johnny is a kid. Victoria needs to protect her son!
Mother and Child
Victoria will always be Johnny’s mother, 72% reassure, Chelsea can never change that. It’s obvious that Johnny is curious about Chelsea, but as a cool aunt, at best. He’s given no indication that he thinks of her as a replacement for Victoria. The fact that he sent the woman he calls Mom his Christmas list is proof of that!
