The B&B recap for Thursday, December 22, 2022, sees a well-meaning but ultimately impossible-to-follow-through-on declaration being made.
In this episode, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) gets introspective, Katie Logan (Heather Tom) gets her test results, and Kelly Spencer (Remington Blaire Evans) proves that she’s one of the few children who truly understand the reason for the season. Now, let’s take a deeper look into what went on.
Despite things not turning out the way that he hoped they would, Ridge couldn’t help but be impressed by Brooke Logan’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Taylor Hayes’s (Krista Allen) decision to band together and tell him to kick rocks.

After all, it really was all his fault. He admittedly pitted those two against each other on and off for three decades, and he could understand their desire to leap off the merry-go-round. Also, Ridge concedes that he really needs to shape up. And he promises that he will. Swears it even. Good thing it’s never too early to make one’s new year’s resolutions.
But there’s something else that needs to be cleared up beforehand, namely, will Ridge be attending the family’s Christmas eve celebration? Eric Forrester (John McCook) wants him there. Ditto Pam Douglas (Alley Mills) — where the heck has she been? — and Charlie Webber (Dick Christie). Well, what does Ridge say? Huh? Huh?
The results are in, and Katie is A-okay! There’s not one single, solitary sign that her transplanted heart is gearing up for rejection. Off that blessing, Kaite is raring to go work — literally — but Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) would rather the two of them sit down and have a bit of a chat. Katie obliges.
Carter once again expresses his high opinion of her and the feelings that he has for her, and Katie once again reciprocates. She then expresses her desire to live life to its fullest — to be the best mother, businesswoman, sister, friend, and lover that she can. Cue the cuddle.
It’s starting to look a lot like Christmas at Casa Finnegan, and Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), for one, couldn’t be more thrilled — especially in light of Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) still being out and about and posing an immense threat.
Most heartening of all was hearing wee Kelly admit that what she wanted most from Santa had already been delivered: her family back together again. Cue misty eyes and lots of hugs. This is what December 25th is all about.
