In The Bold and the Beautiful recap for August 10, 2023, Steffy Forrester (Former Spencer) Finnegan found herself much in demand as both her current husband and her favorite former squeeze pledged their hearts to her….one more strongly and slightly possessive than the other.
In addition, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Hope (Annika Noelle) gossiped about goings on, and grrrRidge (Thorsten Kaye) tore across L.A., and no one was safe. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
At the Forrester mansion, Liam (Scott Clifton) continued to pitch his no-good, waffling self to Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), assuring her that if she’d just give him another chance he’d never take his eyes off her again. And no, this wasn’t just some knee-jerk reaction to his marriage ending.
No, he’d spent years burying his feelings for Steffy deep, deep, deep down inside, but now he could look at her freely, without “Hope goggles,” and see the same strong, smart, beautiful, talented, charismatic force of a woman he used to see. Oh, why did he ever let her go? No, really, he wanted an answer because he couldn’t remember.

Anyway, the point was that he really, really wanted Steffy to take him back. And as an incentive, he promised that if she did, he’d hold her so tight and make sure that she and the children felt safe and protected and heard and respected — and most importantly, loved. (UGH!)
Sometime later, Finn (Tanner Novlan) darkened Eric’s (John McCook) door, begging Steffy to let him speak his piece. He put his hand up where the Kelly incident was concerned. That was his bad. And he also knows that he screwed up developing familial feelings for Sheila (Kimberlin Brown). But their separation isn’t all down to Sheila. There’s also someone else, namely, Steffy’s ex-husband.
Finn isn’t going to just sit around and let Liam take Steffy. He’s going to fight for their marriage and do whatever it takes to win her back. He loves her too much to ever let her go. He can see that she still loves him too. He can see it in her eyes. He’s not going to lose her. And, he’s not going to let Liam interfere.
Meanwhile, over at Forrester Creations, Brooke and Hope gave Steffy’s plight some lip service, then mother delved into her daughter’s business. Where do things stand between Hope and Thomas (Matthew Atkinson)? Also, why doesn’t Hope seem particularly bothered by her marriage ending?
Hope insisted that she was just living her best life, that there wasn’t exactly a “her and Thomas,” and that she was focused on getting her latest line tip top. The topic of conversation returned to Steffy, Finn, and Liam, and Hope groused that Liam would probably make a play for Steffy. At least she and Brooke could agree that Ridge had every right to voice his displeasure with Finn to Finn himself…just as long as he didn’t make things worse.
Speaking of Ridge…after bellowing at Finn that everything going down between him and Steffy was his fault and that he needed to end his pathetic pity party, Ridge made a beeline for Liam and (having been told by Finn that Liam was making a play for Steffy) demanded to know exactly what the boy’s feelings were where Steffy was concerned.
