In the Bold and the Beautiful recap for July 18, 2023, Finn made it clear that he wouldn’t appreciate his wife’s former squeeze sniffing around just because he was lonely.
In addition, Hope (Annika Noelle) made her position concerning her marriage [PAINFULLY] clear, while Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) lied to Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) by omitting key details about her daughter and his son. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
After good-naturedly grousing about the mess made by their rambunctious children, Finn (Tanner Novlan) and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) wondered how in the world they’d survive now that nanny extraordinaire Amelia has flown the coop.
But rather than continue to dwell on their own domestic problems, the couple instead moved on to the topic of Liam (Scott Clifton) and Hope’s estrangement. Has Liam given Steffy any indication of their situation? No, no he hasn’t. Might no news be good news? Finn sure hopes so.

In fact, it would be ideal if Liam and Hope worked this…situation out between them and fast. Ideal for Liam and Hope, and ideal for him and Steffy.
And it’s not so much that Finn is being insensitive to what Liam and Hope are going through, it’s just that he very much does not want Liam coming over whenever he chooses, spending too much time with Steffy. Especially given how vulnerable Liam will be feeling.
Finn trusts Steffy, really he does, but he doesn’t trust Liam — not when he’s in emotional freefall. He doesn’t want to chance Liam getting too comfortable surrounded by Steffy and their history. When Steffy points out that the only thing she and Liam have between them is history [and Kelly, who’s very much present], Finn forbiddingly declared that Liam had better not forget that.
At the she-shed she once shared with him, Hope welcomed Liam and announced it was time that they addressed their marriage and their futures. Hope went first. She took full responsibility for what happened in Rome, admitted she had no idea why she gave into her desires, then hissed that she had a sneaking suspicion that he did what he always does: run to Steffy.
Hope went on to complain that their “cyclical dynamic…with Steffy” had eroded the very foundation of their relationship and she was tired; tired of being with a man who had divided loyalties. She refuses to be that woman. She refuses to be Brooke Logan 2.0. She deserves better than what her mother had/has/will always have with Ridge.
What’s more, she’s beaten Liam to the punch where removing her wedding ring is concerned. As for her and Thomas (Matthew Atkinson), well, to quote Hope, “You wanted a divorce, then fine. That means your life is yours and mine is mine. You wanted it and I accepted it…So, go on. Go find love. Hell, even go find Steffy.”
At Forrester Creations, Ridge profusely thanked Brooke for going over and speaking with Thomas the night before and waxed lyric about how changed his son was. Also, he assured that Hope and Liam would soon get over their little hump. All the while, Brooke hemmed and hawed and flashed back to catching Hope and Thomas getting frisky.
