In The Bold and the Beautiful recap for October 3, 2023, Luna No Last Name felt Eric’s wrath over nothing more than handing him a pen.
In addition, RJ betrayed Eric’s confidence, Ridge got on the same page with a nervous Taylor, and Donna reaffirms her love for and devotion to Eric. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
At Forrester Creations, Luna (Lisa Yamada) delighted in working alongside RJ (Joshua Hoffman) and Eric (John McCook) to gather design supplies.
Though he shared the wide-eyed intern’s enthusiasm, out-of-the-blue hand tremors rather darkened Eric’s mood. When he found himself unable to sign the requestion form that Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) requested, Eric tossed it and a pen at Luna and growled that he was Eric Forrester and that he didn’t need to sign anything.

Once Eric stormed out of the office, RJ could but apologize to Luna on his behalf. By way of explanation, he offered that his granddad wasn’t himself lately, namely, because he’d been “compromised.”
When Luna asked for further explanation, RJ had to admit that he was equally in the dark. One minute, Eric claims it’s arthritis; the next, carpal tunnel syndrome. And, the only thing worse than not being in the know is being tasked with keeping Eric’s secret.
RJ groused that he very much wanted to clue in Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), sure as he is that his dad would immediately step aside and give Eric exactly what he wanted/needed. Luna purred that RJ had proven her assumptions about him correct. He’s a genuinely good and special person.
Across the hall, Taylor (Krista Allen) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) briefly clashed before Ridge arrived to referee. Surprisingly, they were able to find common ground in decrying Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) and Hope’s (Annika Noelle) affair, and Ridge promised Taylor that he’d keep her apprised of any developments — especially where Thomas was concerned.
After Taylor took her leave, Ridge set about complaining to Brooke that there was obviously something more to Eric’s situation, his desire to do battle on the runway, then meets the eye.
Meanwhile, at the Forrester mansion, Katie (Heather Tom) got a sneak peek behind the scenes of Eric’s “secret studio” and took exception to Donna’s (Jennifer Gareis) declaration that Eric’s life seemingly depends on his victory over Ridge.
Katie argued that Eric was a “vibrant, vital man” with so much life and creativity left in him — a sentiment that Eric, his hand trembling most violently, both appreciated and rued.
Once the two were alone together, Donna reiterated how much she loved Eric and doubled down on her promise to stay behind him, come what may. As if on cue, Eric’s physician, Dr. Colin Colby (Justin Davis), arrived with an update on Eric’s health.
