On today’s The Bold and the Beautiful episode, Liam Spencer interrupted “Sinn” to grouse about his marriage.
In addition, Tayor (Krista Allen) confronted an inconvenient truth while Ridge continued to needle RJ (Joshua Hoffman) about his future endeavors. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
No sooner had Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Finn (Tanner Novlan) started an adorable debate over just who it is that snores in their relationship than Liam (Scott Clifton) waltzed his way into their abode and made it clear he was there for yet more assurance that he needn’t worry about Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) and Hope (Annika Noelle).

After granting that he knows where Liam is coming from — it is a mite weird that Thomas is back in the fold — but pointing out that he’d sucked it up because he could see how important it was for Taylor in general and the family at large, Finn took his leave. [Smart man.]
Steffy swore to Liam that she wouldn’t have given Thomas a second [fourth?] chance if she didn’t really believe that he’d changed, but Liam wanted to know on what kind of scale had Thomas changed. To what degree was he different? Is it so radical a change that he doesn’t have to be concerned that Thomas and his wife spend day in and day out together — and nights too?
Steffy thinks so…and Liam can appreciate that. After all, she’s one of the few, if not the only one, who is both close to Thomas but capable of being objective. Still, had to make sure that Steffy was sure and not just caving to pressure because that’s what a “good sister” would do. Steffy was sure.
Having decided that he doesn’t want to talk the point “to death” [that ship has long sailed!], Liam readied to leave. But first, he left this concern floating in the air: “Maybe it’s not just Thomas. Maybe there’s something…with Hope that keeps bringing her back to him.”
In the second of two catch-all offices at Forrester Creations [this one serving as “cutting room,” “design office,” “Hope’s office,” “Katie’s office,” and “Paris’s Queendom”], Taylor went to great pains to avoid Thomas’s cutting question — but he persisted. Is she worried that RJ’s return might herald a reunion for Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye)? Does she really think that such an outcome is possible/probable? Simply put: “Probably so.”
But she’s fine with that, Taylor insisted. Totally chill. Cool as cool can be. If nothing else, she trusts her friendship with Brooke. And all she cares about is her bestie being honest and transparent with her where Ridge is concerned.
Across the hall, Hope joined the chorus of “RJ stay in L.A. forever, and ever” and Ridge suggested that perhaps another group hug would be enough to convince the boy to stay.
RJ did indeed enjoy the attention, but he didn’t appreciate the push to get him to join the family business. Not even the promises of a “nice table next to Donna and Pam,” or an office all his own, or a private parking space could sway him.
Cue Taylor and Thomas entering the picture to really ratchet up the tension. Luckily both boys were on their best behavior. Heck, they even agreed on Ridge being “mischievous.” There’s hope yet!
