Actors from The Bold and the Beautiful, including Katherine Kelly Lang, are packing their bags. The show is set to return to Italy to shoot some remote footage next month. The half-hour soap is an international sensation, especially in Italy, where the show is known as simply Beautiful.
The Bold and the Beautiful: Ciao, Italy!
According to B&B, seven actors are set to go on remote in May to shoot scenes in Italy. In addition to Lang, Thorsten Kaye (Ridge), Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy), Annika Noelle (Hope), Scott Clifton (Liam), Matthew Atkinson (Thomas), and Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) are traveling across the Atlantic to do some work.
What story will bring these characters together? It’s hard to say for sure based on this particular combination though perhaps the dynamics with Liam, Hope, and Thomas will be explored further. If Taylor’s not on the scene, will Brooke and Ridge grow closer?
Katherine Kelly Lang Loves Italy
It’s been said many times that B&B actors are as popular over in Italy as the Beatles are, well, everywhere! “It’s calmed down a little, but we’re still so popular,” Lang modestly tells Soap Hub. “People come up to me and say that they’ve been watching me forever. It’s really sweet.”
The main goal for the visit is to capture scenes that will be seen on air later this year (soaps generally traditionally shoot four to six weeks ahead), but Lang hopes to get in some sight-seeing while she’s abroad. “I love to visit the Coliseum and eating at little eateries,” Lang says. “I like getting lost [in Rome]. It’s the most beautiful city.”
B&B: What’s Coming This Summer
“We’re really focused on Rome, this filming we’re doing for Rome,” Brad Bell, B&B’s head writer and executive producer, previews. “We’re going back in a few weeks to do a shoot in Rome.” And what’s after Rome? “[T]hen [we’re going to] focus on building out this younger generation — with Ridge Forrester [Jr. played by Joshua Hoffman] all over again!”
“He’s great,” Lang says of her TV son. “He’s young but so mature. He brings positive energy to the set and is prepared with his dialogue. Bell says that Hoffman is a find, and he’s looking forward to writing for him. “Oh, he’s great, a very talented actor,” the showrunner says. “I can’t wait to write for him this summer.”
