A Tearful Hope Logan Begs Liam To Trust Her…And Thomas

On today’s The Bold and the Beautiful episode, Hope Logan implored Liam to believe in her and her decision-making skills. Sure, they’ve proven disastrous in the past, but maybe this time she knows what she’s doing.

In addition, Taylor (Krista Allen) grew ever-convinced that Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) was on the right path, and Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri) expressed his most fervent hope for his mom and dad. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.

Hope Logan’s Tears Get Results

Liam (Scott Clifton) was incredulous. How could Hope (Annika Noelle) have welcomed Thomas back aboard Hope For The Future? Why did Hope welcome Thomas back aboard Hope For The Future?

Hope had the perfect answer for the why. She truly believes that Thomas has changed. Why, groused Liam. Because Thomas said so — again?! “How many times do you have to hear ‘I’m a changed man’? How many times do you have to hear ‘I’m sorry?'” wondered Liam, who then launched into a laundry list of Thomas’s misdeeds.

There was the whole keeping Beth away from the two of them. And the time she tried to throw Liam off the roof of a building so he could kidnap Hope. “That is as messed up a sentence as I think I can conceive of, and yet, it’s absolutely true!”

Oh, and then there was the business with the mannequin with Hope’s likeness, not to mention all the times that Thomas used Douglas to manipulate her. Still, Hope persisted. She believes that there is good in everyone — “Even Thomas.” And she also believes that Thomas is sincere about his evolution.

And as far as Hope is concerned, what it all comes down to is whether or not Liam can find it in himself to trust her and accept her decision. Despite himself, Liam said that he can, adding, “I’m not going to let Thomas be the thing that comes between us and our life together. I won’t. I won’t do it.”

B&B Recap: Onward And Upward

At Forrester Creations, Steffy gleefully took in the sight of Thomas hard at work on a new design. She admitted that she missed him, and Thomas agreed that the feeling was mutual. Talk inevitably turned to what was going on down at the cabin.

Steffy proffered that Liam would freak out when Hope updated him on Thomas’s return to HFTF, while Thomas couldn’t see Hope’s husband objecting to something that would result in her line being saved.

When Taylor came calling and wondered why her brood wasn’t exactly bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, Thomas admitted that they were worried his reinstatement would cause problems for Hope and Liam.

Taylor inquired as to what would happen in that event, and Thomas reiterated his intention to “head home and figure out what’s next.” That tickled Taylor to no end. If that doesn’t prove that Thomas isn’t making progress, she isn’t sure what does.

Douglas Forrester And Thomas Forrester: Two Peas In A Pod

After returning from a jaunt to the cafeteria, Douglas was anxious to know where Hope had gone to and delighted to hear that she was presently filling Liam in on his return home and, most assuredly, Thomas’s return to Hope For The Future. Unfortunately, the little lad couldn’t help but wonder if Liam would get back. After all, he doesn’t seem to like Thomas much.

Upon receiving assurances that everything would work out in the long run, Douglas turned his attention to his Aunt Steffy, whom he thanked for taking him in and taking such good care of him.

Later, once Steffy and Taylor had taken their leave, Douglas and Thomas conversed about HFTF — which Douglas knows is in trouble because he “hears things” — and Douglas’s desire to one day live with Hope and Thomas so that they can be “a real family.” And sure, there’s the Liam of it all, but a kid can dream, can’t he?
