Do You Want To See More Eric On The Bold And The Beautiful?

John McCook is one of two original cast members still on The Bold and the Beautiful. Lately, however, his character, Eric, has been simmering on the backburner.

For years, McCook’s Eric was in conflict with his wife Stephanie (Susan Flannery). Viewers learned in the first week of the show that Eric and Stephanie had a tense marriage, at best.

The couple split and reunited many times over the years — despite that he married her longtime rival Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) — twice! After Stephanie’s death, it appeared that Eric might never find love again.

Along came Quinn (Rena Sofer), who was determined to win Eric’s heart. Eric attempted to break things off before they got too serious, but Quinn persisted, and Eric relented. Quinn succeeded in landing the Forrester patriarch, but their union has faced choppy waters as the couple has argued over Pam (Alley Mills), Sheila (Kimberlin Brown), and others.

Lately, the couple’s been conflict-free, which has led to less screen-time for Eric. Soap Hub asked viewers if they’d like to see more of the Forrester patriarch.

An overwhelming majority — over 90% —  say that yes, they want to see more of Eric! The good news is that there’s a myriad of stories the show could place him in, which would result in more air time for him.

While Quinn has been calm in recent memory, viewers know that she can be volatile. It’d be great to see Felicia (Lesli Kay) return and come into conflict with her dad over Quinn.

A small percentage of B&B fans (less than 10) say you’re okay with the amount of screen-time Eric is having right now is sufficient. After all, BB is a half-hour soap and there are lots of characters who need to be represented!
