Eric Forrester is a calming influence on The Bold and the Beautiful and he was there when Ridge Forrester and Brooke Logan first encountered one another. He knows them better than anyone and now, the lovebirds have found that their marriage is on the rocks.
Is it time for Eric (John McCook) to step in and act as marriage therapist to his son Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and daughter-in-law (and ex-wife) Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang)? Soap Hub asked B&B fans to weigh in on this!
Nearly 44% of you say yes, Eric needs to butt into Ridge and Brooke’s relationship and get them to sit down and hash out their problems. Eric’s given Ridge advice before on his love life and he knows these two better than they may know themselves.
The Forrester patriarch is sage and experienced. He has to know something about what makes a marriage work as he was wed to the late Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) for so long!
About 34% of you say that no, Eric needs to sit this one out. This isn’t Ridge and Brooke’s first time at the marital strife rodeo. Ridge and Brooke are grandparents for crying out loud! They’re experienced enough to work this out for themselves. Eric can stay home and tickle the ivories for his wife Quinn Fuller Forrester (Rena Sofer).
Speaking of Quinn, the rest of you, about 22%, say that yes, Eric should sit down with Ridge and Brooke but he should bring his wife with him. Quinn, provided she doesn’t rub Brooke’s face in her indiscretion with Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan), could provide a woman’s perspective.
She could gently point out to the couple that if she and Eric can make a go of their marriage then so can they. It would make for some compelling scenes and allow Brooke and Ridge the chance to not only work things out but acknowledge that Eric and Quinn are truly happy with one another.
