Should Bold and the Beautiful’s Bill Spencer Feel Guilty for Conning Sheila?

Published by
Michael Maloney

Bill Spencer used his charm to seduce Sheila Carter into spilling her Bold and the Beautiful secrets. He accomplished his goal, and Sheila’s in jail. Bill has no problem doing what he needed to do in order to get the job done.

Bold and the Beautiful: Bill Spencer Lies Like a Rug

But does that make it right? Bill (Don Diamont) lied to a vulnerable woman who claimed the only thing she wants in life is to be loved. Soap Hub asked B&B viewers if Bill should feel guilty for being duplicitous with the naughty nurse. Find out the results.

All’s Fair in Love and War

Not many of you, less than 2%, say that Bill was wrong to trick Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) into confessing. He toyed with her heart and only made her more furious. The fact that Sheila is a gun-toting killer who always blames everyone else for her crimes didn’t seem to matter to this small minority of voters. Go figure.

Bill Spencer Plays to Win

Many of you, about 16%, say you have no sympathy for Sheila in this situation. Sure, Bill lied like a rug to help put Sheila away. This story has reminded us that Bill is no saint. He did have Justin (Aaron D. Spears) dump Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) out of a helicopter. (The man could have died!)

Ditto for Liam and Sally, who almost perished when Bill blew up the Spectra Fashions building. Sure, he didn’t know that they were inside, but shouldn’t he have checked? Sheila also plays the attitude of “Oh, I didn’t know! It’s not my fault.” Are they really so different?

Bold and the Beautiful: Oh, Please!

If Sheila doesn’t like what happened, she has no one but herself to blame. The majority of you, 82%, feel no sympathy for Sheila. Bill beat her at her own game. Sheila lied to everyone when she first came to Los Angeles over 30 years ago.

She lied about her life in Genoa City on The Young and the Restless. Sheila proceeded to wreak havoc for years. She shot Stephanie (Susan Flannery), kidnapped James (Ian Buchanan), knocked Dr. Jay Garvin (Brett Stimely) off a balcony to his death (of course, that was an accident, says Sheila), and unleashed killer bees on bee-allergic Lance (Adam Huss). Sorry, Sheila. Bill did what he had to do, and very few think he was wrong.
