Thomas Forrester has a lot going for him in life — money, good looks, and talent. But The Bold and the Beautiful heartthrob has a habit of taking what he wants and manipulating people. His selfishness is the most unattractive thing about him.
Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) has the audacity to expect to be forgiven on B&B. He doesn’t even let things cool down before he asks for yet another chance. Is he being unreasonable? Soap Hub posed this question to B&B fans.
The good news is that yes, some of you feel that Thomas is correct in asking those he’s hurt to get over it. The bad news is that’s only about 5% of you. Clearly, most of folks responding to this poll forget that others on the canvas have committed far worse sins and been forgiven. Let’s not forget Taylor (Krista Allen) shot Bill (Don Diamont). Brooke hid Ridge’s letter to Caroline, which led her to marry Thorne. Practically nobody’s hands are clean at this point.
Many of you, about 25%, say that yeah, Thomas is right to expect everyone to give him a break. But it’s going to take time. Thomas could go on a redemption tour, asking for forgiveness from those he’s hurt. He could dedicate his time to charity. Forgiveness will come but it won’t be overnight.
The rest of you, the majority of you, in fact, 70%, say that no, Thomas cannot be forgiven. Thomas may not have been in his right mind when he’s done some of his misdeeds, but he sure knew what he was doing when he faked the call to Child Protective Services. He then held onto that secret for weeks. This isn’t Thomas’s first crafty move. As the late, great Maya Angelou once said, “When people show you who they are, believe them the first time.”
