Is It Time For a Bold and the Beautiful Fashion Show To Take Place?

Published by

Sure, it was from a backstage perspective, but fashion shows have been a part of The Bold and the Beautiful since its very first episode. It’s been a while, however, since we’ve seen the Forresters and friends take to the runway. (No, the recent fashion presentation in Rome doesn’t count!)

Bold and the Beautiful: Always In Fashion

B&B has treated viewers to numerous fashion shows over the years featuring glorious gowns and beautiful models. Key story points most often always accompany fashion shows. Remember when Ridge proposed to Taylor — not Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) — at the end of a fashion gala? Or when Donna and Kristen modeled similar showstoppers on board the Queen Mary at a joint charity fashion show? Is it time for B&B to have another fashion presentation? Soap Hub posed this question to B&B fans.

Fall Back on Romance

About 17% of you feel that B&B doesn’t need to spend time on the runway. It’s better to focus on the boardroom and the bedroom and stick to tales of romance. The goal is for characters to get undressed — not dressed. You can’t bring a Forrester original into the bedroom. Unless it’s “Brooke’s Bedroom!”

Bold and the Beautiful: Forrester Originals

Many of you, 24%, say that you want to see a fashion show. Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) has shown what he can do with fashion. Now, it’s Ridge’s (Thorsten Kaye) turn to show his creations. Perhaps a fashion show could be timed with another twist in the ongoing Taylor/Ridge/Brooke triangle? Or maybe a fashion presentation will motivate RJ (Joshua Hoffman) to get into the family business from a design perspective?

Get The B&B Runway Ready

The rest of you, 59%, say it’s definitely time for a fashion show. We can imagine how expensive they are to produce with the hiring of actors and or models to play models, buyers, photographers, and other guests. But they’re worth it. There’s the build-up to the presentation and then the actual fashion show itself.

B&B is famous for inviting real-life celebrities onto the show. Perhaps casting some real-life designers or folks from the fashion world would draw in a few eyeballs and remind viewers that B&B knows fashion. Another good reason to plan a showing is that a B&B fashion show can’t be done without Eric Forrester (John McCook), and he’s been absent from our screens for too long.
