Is Eric Better Off With Donna on The Bold and the Beautiful?

The Bold and the Beautiful threw viewers a curveball when it revealed that Eric Forrester and ex-wife Donna Logan had resumed their affair with (for now) an unsuspecting Quinn Fuller Forrester being none the wiser.

Veteran viewers recall that Eric and Donna used to be happily married. Alas, the death of her mother Beth Logan (Nancy Burnett; Robin Riker), Eric’s college sweetheart, and Eric taking his ex-wife Stephanie’s (Susan Flannery) side in Beth’s accidental passing drove a wedge between the two. Eric since moved on with Quinn (Rena Sofer) until recently. Is he better off with Donna? Soap Hub posed this question to B&B fans.

The Right Moves

The majority of you, 42%, say that yes, Eric is better off with Donna but the way he’s gone about reuniting with her is all wrong. Eric’s the family patriarch and needs to set an example for the other members of the Forrester clan. If he felt that it wasn’t going to work out long-term with Quinn, he should have gone to her and ended things before taking up with Donna.

Many of you, 38%, say there’s no question that Eric belongs with Donna. He’s happier than he’s ever been. Clearly, there’s too much baggage with Quinn, knowing she cheated on him with Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor). Viewers have seen the glint in Eric’s eyes and the smile on his face when he’s with Donna. He tried too hard to hang onto Quinn last year and now, he’s paying the price.

The rest of you, 20%, say that Eric and Quinn were meant to be together. You feel he belongs with her. Alas, he’s ruined it all by cheating on her with Donna. One might say that Quinn was the one who originally ended things by falling into bed with Forrester Creations’ Chief Operating Officer. The good news is that viewers can look forward to tons of drama if and/or when Quinn learns the truth about Eric and Donna reconnecting!
