For years they’ve been adversaries; two men who’ve loathed and distrusted each other, both vying for the same woman: Hope. So having Liam turn to Thomas and ask him to look after his wife and family while he’s in prison made zero sense on The Bold and the Beautiful.
The Bold and the Beautiful: Past Experience
Although Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) has seemingly turned over a new leaf and realized the error of his past ways, it’s way too soon to put any wholehearted trust in the guy. Remember, he was the one who kept the “Beth is alive” secret from Liam (Scott Clifton) and Hope (Annika Noelle), for months.
He’s also the guy who ran Emma (Nia Sioux) off the road when she threatened to reveal the truth, and used his sweet son Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri) to manipulate Hope, time and time again. Thomas isn’t the guy Liam or anyone should trust their beloved family to under any circumstances.
Better Men for the Job
While B&B’s Liam may want a father figure in Beth’s life and a strong man to look after Hope, he has two far better choices. Tops on the list are his devoted brother, Wyatt (Darin Brooks).
Wyatt’s stood by Liam through thick and thin and has long loved Hope; initially, romantically, and, as the years have passed, as a sister-in-law. He’s Liam’s blood, so stepping in to help rear Beth and support Hope makes perfect sense. Plus, Wyatt’s a genuinely good guy.
Then there’s Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), Liam’s longtime father-in-law and mentor. He’s been a strong father to his own children and a father figure to Liam over the years. Since Hope, Thomas and Beth already live in the guest house on Ridge and Brooke’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) property, the proximity is perfect. Ridge is a just few feet away from Liam’s family, so tending to them on a daily basis would be easy and effortless.
The Logan Ladies
Aside from the men on The Bold and the Beautiful Liam could turn to for help looking after his family, there’s also a quartet of Logan women. Namely, Hope’s protective mom, Brooke; her devoted aunts, Katie (Heather Tom) and Donna (Jennifer Gareis); and her newfound cousin, Flo (Katrina Bowden).
The strong, feisty brood are always there for each other in times of trouble, and they always have each other’s back. Hope would be hard-pressed to find a better support system anywhere. The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
