Soaps are filled with fierce, protective mothers, and as viewers of The Bold and the Beautiful recently saw, Grace Buckingham is counted among those powerful maternal figures. She confronted her almost one-time son-in-law Carter Walton and let him know where she stands!

The Bold and the Beautiful Amazing Grace

Was Grace (Cassandra Creech) right in informing Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) that he needs to back off from his relationship with her daughter Paris Buckingham (Diamond White)? Soap Hub posed this question to B&B fans. Read on for the results.

A Mother’s Pleas

Nearly 34% of you feel that while Grace is perfectly justified to protect her daughter, it’s not her place to stick her nose into Paris’s love life. She’s a grown woman, and she’s already backed off from Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz). Sure, Grace may think that Paris and Zende should be together, but Paris doesn’t. It’s cool that Grace is a protective mother. However, Paris likely doesn’t need a champion in this situation.

The Bold and the Beautiful Truth

About 33% of you feel that Grace needs to mind her own business. Sure, she told Carter she doesn’t like being so blunt, but she came to him with a strong point of view — and it’s necessarily justified. Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) committed to Carter but couldn’t help wondering if Zende was the right man for her. As for Carter’s fling with Quinn Fuller Forrester (Rena Sofer), well, that would fall into the category of not really being any of Grace’s business.

The Right Decision

The rest of you, also about 33%, say that Grace is totally justified in ensuring that her daughter is protected. Carter says that Zende is his friend, but Carter kissed Paris! It really should be one thing or the other. Carter knows what it’s like to feel betrayed, given how his stories have played out. Thank goodness Grace is here to keep everybody in line. Her forcefulness is reminiscent of the late Stephanie (Susan Flannery) and how protective she was of her clan.
