Do You Miss The Bold And The Beautiful Fashion Shows?

They’ve been a staple on The Bold And The Beautiful since day one — literally. But will this element ever return to the half-hour CBS sudser?

We’re talking about fashion shows, of course. While we didn’t see the runway in the premiere of BB on March 23, 1987, viewers did witness all the goings-on behind the scenes and backstage at a Forrester Creations fashion line launch.

Eric (John McCook) was hands-on making last-minute adjustments to gowns and models headed out to the runway to be photographed and fashions were critiqued (favorably!) by magazine editors.

BB has traveled the world putting on fashion shows. Thirty years ago, the show did one of its most memorable when Sally Spectra (the late, great Darlene Conley) manipulated the Forresters into doing a joint charity presentation aboard the Queen Mary!

Fashion shows still occur on the show, but we haven’t seen one in a bit. Do you miss seeing them?

Always In Fashion
The majority of you, just under 70%, say that yes, you miss fashion shows on BB. The best ones have it all — stylish clothes, beautiful models, and great music! Of course, they’ve also always included backstage drama.

Who could forget the time Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) proposed not to Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), but Taylor (Hunter Tylo) at the conclusion of a fashion show?

Out Of Season
A solid amount of you, just over 30%, say you don’t miss the fashion shows. You are fine with the drama taking place in the hallways and offices at Forrester — not necessarily on the runway.

Perhaps you’re more fond of seeing favorite sets like the Forrester mansion, Brooke’s house, and Eric’s office. These places are familiar touchstones of BB and when you see them on-air you instantly know you’ve tuned into the 30-minute serial. The Bold And The Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS.
