Diamond White has been thrown into the deep end since joining The Bold and the Beautiful. The show has given her character, Paris Buckingham, a detailed backstory career-wise as a rising star in the non-profit world, a somewhat strained relationship with her sister Zoe (Kiara Barnes), and she’s attended her first Forrester family Christmas Eve celebration.
The actress/singer has embraced all of this and is establishing herself as a force to be reckoned with and has earned Performer of the Week honors from Soap Hub for BB.
Let’s start at the end of the week and work backward. White, a past contender on America’s Got Talent, earned a golden buzzer from BB with her soulful rendition of Silent Night. The show has a history of talented singers among its cast and White is proudly continuing that tradition!
However, Zoe is less than thrilled that her sister is making such inroads – at least in so much as how those pathways appear to be intersecting in her life. Zoe chastised her younger sibling for dropping by the Forresters unannounced, but Paris simply informed her big sis that she was Zende’s (Delon de Metz) invited guest.
Paris remains un-phased by Zoe’s unwarranted negative reactions to her presence in her life. Instead of getting confrontational, Paris remains cool, calm, and collected. She simply inquires why her sister feels this way and even attempted to lighten the mood by suggesting they smooch under the mistletoe.
Zoe wasn’t having any of that, but Paris mostly doesn’t take it personally. She takes the wind out of her sister’s sails by letting her know that she hasn’t done anything wrong. While Zoe had trouble finding her career path after being introduced, finally finding a role as a model, Paris is a totally different story.
Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor), as Forrester’s Chief Operating Officer, is tasked with overseeing the Forrester Foundation and as Paris has a background in philanthropic work, he thinks she’ll be a great fit.
This puts Paris under the same roof, at least at work, with not only Carter but also Zoe and Zende, the latter two being part of the Hope for the Future team. BB is known for compelling romantic quadrangles, so now the stage is set now for some intense drama.
Given Diamond White’s ability to play Paris as someone who isn’t easily thrown, we can expect Paris to remain strong and unflappable as her story develops in the coming year. She’s off to a great beginning and the best is yet to come! The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for airtimes.
