Electra let Luna know she isn’t a shrinking violet on Monday, October 13’s episode of The Bold and the Beautiful. But calling Chief Baker to come collect her nemesis from the Spencer estate might have been a step too far. At least for Katie, whose silent reaction doesn’t seem to err in Electra’s favor.
Key Takeaways
- Electra called the police without considering Will or the Spencers
- Why Katie would be against Electra taking the decision out of her family’s hands
- The conflict brewing over Will becoming a young father
Overstepping May Be An Understatement
Electra’s (Laneya Grace) grievances against Luna (Lisa Yamada—who’s nominated for a Daytime Emmy!) are many. After all, Luna tried to get in the middle of her relationship with Will (Crew Morrow) on multiple occasions. Luna assaulting Will and then falling pregnant is just the latest hit their romance has had to weather. But that doesn’t mean Electra gets a pass for making a decision about Will’s unborn child without consulting him.

Calling the authorities means Luna, short of being released by a judge as she awaits trial, will serve out her pregnancy in prison. This would leave her subject to harm while incarcerated, as we saw before, and cared for medically to the best of the system’s ability, which isn’t saying much.
Electra smirked like she got one up on Luna, but the move she made doesn’t just affect her; it affects the baby she’s carrying, as well as Will and his parents, which may be why Katie (Heather Tom) didn’t look like she was completely onboard with Electra’s decision.
Walking A Fine Line
The Spencers have been adamant that Luna belongs in jail. However, they’ve also been grappling with how to handle her being pregnant with Will’s baby. They’d yet to land on how they wanted to move forward before Electra took the choice right out of their hands. While they showed no sympathy for Luna’s pleas that they intervene, Katie’s face as Electra revealed she’d called the cops wasn’t triumphant or smug.

She looked uncertain and surprised. The latter was likely because not only was this an unexpected move by Electra, but it also showed a new side to the Forrester jeweler. Electra didn’t call Chief Baker (Dan Martin) because she felt it was the right thing to do. She did it to show Luna that her attempt at getting between her and Will didn’t work. It was vindictive, not righteous, and it’s coming at the expense of Will getting to choose for himself how he wants to handle things.
Will Has A Choice To Make
So far, this storyline on B&B has been full of opinions about Luna’s pregnancy. But Will’s voice has been noticeably absent when it comes to the baby. Decisions are being made on his behalf without regard for his opinion or feelings. Bill (Don Diamont) tried to pressure Luna into an abortion. Katie (Heather Tom) has plans to take the child. And now Electra has decided the baby will be born in prison. None of them consulted Will as they made their choices.
Going along to get along isn’t his style, so at some point, Will’s going to have to say something about suddenly being a father. He’s also going to have to take action, whether that’s to be involved or let his parents step in. But, outside of her relationship with Will, Electra shouldn’t get a vote. This isn’t her child, and she hasn’t had the time to process the fact that the baby is Will’s. Making decisions about the child without his input isn’t the way to go and could cause problems. With him and his parents.
Katie And Electra Could Be At Odds
Katie has been sympathetic to the position Electra has been put in. She’s advocated for her and Will to stick this out in spite of Luna’s pregnancy. But Electra hasn’t been a factor to consider beyond Will. Now that she’s made her own move, Electra is someone Katie will have to pay attention to, since she’s revealed herself as a wild card.
Electra made her position clear. The baby is of no concern to her because of Luna, and she’ll make decisions for Will if it’s about protecting their relationship. Katie cares about Electra, but she’s not family, nor is she a parent. She’s a young girl with a broken heart who’s trying to hold onto her boyfriend. The care Katie feels for her isn’t going to trump doing what’s best for her family, and that could leave both women on opposite sides of how to deal with Luna (can motherhood turn Luna into a saint?) while she’s pregnant.
Their relationship is pleasant now, but it may not be in the future.
