Can A New & Improved Bold and the Beautiful Dollar Bill Spencer Last?

It shocked a lot of Bold and the Beautiful fans when usual curmudgeon Dollar Bill Spencer actually took note of a seemingly homeless woman and not only stopped — but tried to help her! Is that our bad boy Bill we know and love? Can a new and improved Bill Spencer really be sustainable in the long run though?

Bold and the Beautiful Bill Churns The Pot

As soap fans know, there has to be someone on every show who can stir the pot, throwing our usual favorites a curveball that moves the story forward, and for a lot of that kind of action, Bill (Don Diamont) has served that role admirably (well that might not be the right word choice but you get it). Remember dropping a building on his son Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) when he wanted Spectra Fashions gone so he could build his new gorgeous tower?

That power-hungry publishing magnate suddenly caring for a complete stranger (well, he thought she was; he didn’t realize they had relatives in common) and being willing to help her was a twist most fans didn’t see coming, and yet it’s been a huge hit! Watching Bill play the hero was a change of pace that was greatly appreciated. But should he continue like that?

We’re pretty sure anything that keeps Bill on TV screens and in the middle of the action will be applauded by most Bold and the Beautiful fans. After all, he’s been missing from the stories in Los Angeles for way too long. Should it lead to a romance with Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda)? From what we can tell from Soap Hub readers, that’s a big thumbs up!

They have already forged a bond since he helped her rescue Finn (Tanner Novlan) from Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) clutches and then went the extra mile to fly him on his private jet personally to see his reunion with Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) wasn’t delayed one second longer than it needed to be, which surely has earned him a special place in Li’s heart. Will he be a changed man for her, or could one of their first obstacles be when she sees the ambitious, driven man at his core? Here’s hoping we get to find out!
