In a big move, The Young and the Restless has brought on soap veteran Trevor St. John, best known for his role as Victor Manning on One Life to Live, to take on a mystery role.
Trevor St. John Joins Y&R
Deadline broke the news of St. John’s casting. He will hit the set sometime this month and will first air in the fall. St. John made his daytime debut as Todd Manning, taking over the part from Roger Howarth (Austin Gatlin-Holt, General Hospital). After Howarth came back to OLTL, the writers tweaked that St. John’s ‘Todd’ was, in reality, Todd’s twin brother Victor Lord. Jr.
Where Will He Fit In?
The actor is a charismatic addition to any show and it’s a good bet there are some single ladies (and maybe some not so single) who could benefit from his appearance in Genoa City. Will he be playing a new character or will he be bringing a beloved favorite back to the canvas?
Trevor St. John’s Other Roles
St. John appeared on OLTL until its finale. Viewers learned that Victor was alive and was being held captive by unbalanced nurse Allison Perkins (Barbara Garrick). St. John reprised Victor for the short-lived OLTL online version on The Online Network in 2013. Post-Llanview, he’s appeared on Roswell, New Mexico as Jesse Manes. His other roles include Oasis CEO on Promised Land, Marina’s therapist on The Fosters, and Leo on Containment.
