Bold and the Beautiful’s Ridge Forrester – Rules for Thee But Not for Me

When The Bold and the Beautiful’s Ridge Forrester thought that Brooke Logan Forrester had purposely gotten drunk and kissed Deacon Sharpe on New Year’s Eve, he rethought his future with his wife. Recently, they reconciled, as they always do. So, why was Ridge canoodling with his ex-wife Taylor Hayes in Monte Carlo?

The Bold and the Beautiful Location Romance

We get that soaps are all about romance, and it makes sense for The Bold and the Beautiful to showcase its favorite romantic duos in a glorious setting like Monte Carlo. However, that’s what Dr. John ‘Finn’ Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) and Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) gave us.

We enjoyed all the feels and loved seeing the couple reunite. Did we really need Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Taylor (Krista Allen) to also lock lips? Especially since he and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) recently made up?

It Was Just a Photo

Ridge allowed himself to become vulnerable to Taylor after he spotted stepdaughter Hope Logan Spencer’s (Annika Noelle) social media post of herself, Brooke, and Deacon (Sean Kanan). We feel this was an overreaction as the picture was G-rated.

Deacon came by Hope’s workplace, and his daughter took a photo of her parents. It’s not like Deacon came to Brooke and Ridge’s home and started taking his clothes off! Brooke laid down the law with Deacon telling him not to darken her abode, but the office is a different matter. And not for nothing, but doesn’t Deacon get points for helping save not only Steffy’s life but also Finn’s as he called 911 upon discovering the injured duo in the Il Giardino alley?

The Bold and the Beautiful Balancing Act

Even though they’re happily reunited, Steffy and Finn are going to have conflict in their lives, but it’s not likely to be a romantic conflict (at least for a while!). As love triangles are a big part of soaps, we get that romantic drama has to stay at the forefront for some couples. Between Hope’s photo and the joy that Ridge and Taylor felt over Finn and Steffy being reunited went to their heads, and they shared a kiss. But how would Ridge have reacted if he learned that Brooke had done something similar?

Ridge Needs to Face the Truth

Someone on The Bold and the Beautiful should point out to Ridge that his actions, which we’re sure he can justify, come off as hypocritical. Doesn’t Ridge know that his relationship with Taylor is just as much of a threat to his life with Brooke as hers with Deacon’s is?
