B&B’s Hope Logan Lusting For Thomas Is Twisted And Ruining The Heroine

Remember when Hope Logan was the epitome of all things pure and chaste…the quintessential daytime good girl? Well, that “perfect picture” is rapidly vanishing now that The Bold and the Beautiful has the character lusting after Thomas Forrester. The move is twisted and ruining the daytime heroine.

Hope Logan: Goody Two Shoes

At her core, Hope (Annika Noelle) has always been synonymous with honesty and decency; someone to admire. She’s a one-man woman, who’s always been devoted to her husband, Liam (Scott Clifton), and their happy family. She would never do anything to jeopardize their perfect life together, let alone look at another man twice. To suddenly have her fantasizing about another man, envisioning Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) while she’s kissing Liam, is totally out of character.

The Bold and the Beautiful Creep Show

What suddenly flipped this switch inside Hope and made her start yearning for Thomas? He’s been creepily obsessed with her for years. He’s the man who allowed her to believe her daughter Beth was dead. He’s the guy who blew up Brooke’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) marriage to Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and pressured young Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri) not to out him on both occasions. He’s also the same Thomas whom Hope firmly pushed away when he tried to kiss her after their fashion show just a few months ago.

Hope Logan: Setting Things Straight

No woman in her right mind, especially one as principled as Hope, would ever be interested in or attracted to the likes of Thomas. He’s inflicted too much pain and turmoil on her and her family. To suggest that she’s following in her mother’s footsteps and suddenly aching for the bad boy makes no sense. To propose that she’s drawn to Thomas, just as, ironically, he’s realized they can only be friends and has stopped pursuing her is sick. Hope’s never been one to crave attention, especially from other men. This erratic story turn is only doing one thing — ruining one of daytime’s most admirable heroines.
