The forever-tangled Logan and Forrester families are on the brink of becoming even more entwined, now that good girl, Hope Logan, is having naughty thoughts about bad boy Thomas Forrester. But is The Bold and the Beautiful flirting with disaster or spot on with the surprise story twist?
B&B Forbidden Passion
Nothing drives daytime like forbidden passion. So the happily married Hope (Annika Noelle) fantasizing about Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) is obviously edgy and intriguing. It’s probably tantalizing some viewers, who have been waiting for a Hope-Thomas hookup and imagining the heat that could erupt between the twosome. And, to be honest, Hope and her husband Liam (Scott Clifton) have been bordering on dullsville of late. If nothing else, bringing Thomas into the mix could spice things up.
Hope Logan: A Bold and the Beautiful About Face
Yet, it’s a sharp departure from the Hope viewers know and love. She’s always been virtuous and lived by strong moral standards. She’s been a role model for all things righteous ever since she was a young 20-year-old and even branded her fashion line around that image. So to see it falter would be a major letdown, especially since there are so few heroines like her in daytime.
B&B Family First
Hope’s been devoted to Liam for years, despite the fact that he’s strayed on more than one occasion. And while Thomas has made no secret of his obsessive love for Hope and pulled some nasty stunts to land her, she’s always pushed him away, insisting she only has eyes for Liam. Hope’s always been a woman committed to her marriage and family, a woman who’s prided herself on being a good wife and mother. Why would she even consider blowing all that up for a fling with Thomas?

Bold and the Beautiful Igniting A Change
More importantly, where did Hope’s sudden lust for Thomas come from? Are viewers expected to believe that Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) commending her daughter for not being attracted to bad boys and following in her footsteps awakened something in Hope? That it ignited a dormant desire to take a walk on the wild side?
It’s far-fetched and came out of nowhere, considering who Thomas is at the core. He’s the man who kept the fact that Hope’s baby daughter, Beth, was alive from her. He’s the man who recently blew up Brooke and Ridge’s (Thorsten Kaye) marriage. It’s hard to fathom Hope being attracted to that man under any circumstances.
