B&B Needs to Resurrect Wyatt Spencer and Flo, Even If It Means A Recast

It’s been two years since Wyatt Spencer proposed to Flo Fulton on The Bold and the Beautiful. But since the pair’s happy engagement, they’ve had little to no screen time or storyline. The time has come for the soap to resurrect the couple, even if it means a recast.

Bold and the Beautiful: Now or Never For Wyatt Spencer

To be fair, the actors portraying Wyatt and Flo have both had their plates full work-wise. Darin Brooks has been committed to the Apple TV series, Amber Brown, while Katrina Bowden’s kept busy with a string of movies and primetime guest spots.

Now that Brooks’s series has been canceled, he’ll likely have more time to devote to B&B. So the soap should take the opportunity to get the romance back on track. If Bowden’s not available or unwilling to commit to a lengthy story arc, it might be time to recast Flo.

B&B: Go with the Flo

There are a number of actresses who could fill the character’s shoes. Emme Rylan, who’s been MIA from the daytime scene ever since the General Hospital writers put Lulu into a coma, would be a natural as the fun and fiery Flo. So too, would fellow GH alumna Hayley Erin (ex-Kiki) or former Days of our Lives star Kate Mansi (ex-Abigail). They’re all consummate actresses who know the daytime drill and would likely easily connect with Brooks.

Revving Things Up For Wyatt Spencer

Flo’s return would inject life into a couple of areas of the show. Having a wedding to plan would be a great reason to bring Denise Richards back as her mother, Shauna. And, now that Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) is a free man, perhaps he and Shauna could revisit their romance.

Also, with Flo having finally been accepted by the Logan family and working at Forrester Creations, she could catch the eye of the unattached Thomas (Matthew Atkinson). Imagine having Wyatt and his brother, Liam (Scott Clifton), both worried about the Forrester heir interfering with their love lives? The possibilities for friction and drama would be endless.
