If there’s one thing we’re used to about Brooke Logan and her daughter Hope on The Bold and the Beautiful, it’s that they will typically forgive the object of their obsession chance after chance, taking them back after every indiscretion, and while rarely sticking up for themselves for long. However, all that seems to be changing.
Brooke Logan Says Goodbye To Ridge
Yes, it’s still a little touch and go for Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), but she is determined to keep resisting Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) because it is time for her to live for herself and not that man she believed was her destiny for decades. Brooke and Taylor (Krista Allen) made a pact that they are done with Ridge going back and forth between them and are ready to live life on their own.
Sure, Brooke kissed Ridge under the mistletoe on Christmas and didn’t tell Taylor, but it was mistletoe. Recently, she looked like she was going to go back to her old ways when she paraded around in front of Ridge in her lingerie with a fire going. Ridge definitely wanted Brooke, and Brooke wanted Ridge, but she knew it was wrong and pulled away from her ex before going too far.
Hope Turns The Tables On Liam
Brooke’s daughter Hope (Annika Noelle) seemed to be following in her mother’s footsteps for more than a decade now as Liam (Scott Clifton) has taken a cue from Ridge and waffled back and forth between Hope and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), finally ending up married to Hope and raising a family with her. That hasn’t stopped him from sleeping with Steffy during misunderstandings with Hope. And what does Hope always do? She takes her fickle husband back.
Now, it’s Liam’s turn to be the jealous one because he ordered Hope not to re-hire Thomas as her lead designer, but she did so anyway. She defied her husband, and that was bad enough. Then Liam had to find her in a compromising position with Thomas and berate her for it.
Well, Hope wasn’t going to take it anymore and threw all of Liam’s betrayals right in his face. Liam couldn’t even give her a mea culpa, and Hope decided she might have been too harsh on Liam, but hey, it was a start. Maybe she’ll get to where her mother is in 30 years, or maybe she will be there sooner. Subconsciously, Hope may be starting to realize Liam isn’t the only fish in the sea.
