When it comes to The Bold and the Beautiful, every fan has their own opinion – and Soap Hub is no different. For five days, we sat and watched the good, the bad, and everything in between, and now we offer you a handy review, and a cheeky critique, of B&B’s week that was.
Nick and Nora [Charles, the crime-solving couple introduced in the novel, The Thin Man], John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) and Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) most certainly are not. In the time it took this Bold and Beautiful duo to decide that, yes, most definitely they were in total agreement that Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) severed toe was indeed cleanly sliced off and not chomped or torn off by a grizzly bear, and this must mean that the villainess is very much alive, down but not out and somewhere in Beverly Hills, the Charleses would have already tracked Sheila, de-wigged and demasked her, exposed her evil ruse, and saw her led away in cuffs — and they’d have looked fabulous every step of the way. No way Nora would have donned that monstrosity B&B had Steffy stuffed in earlier in the week.
As for Sheila, I have to say that I was fairly impressed that she didn’t go all scorched earth on Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) when he insisted that she didn’t have to go home but that she couldn’t stay with him anymore. Maybe there’s the potential for growth in Sheila yet.
But why oh why did the writers have to lower Sheila’s intelligence quotient to a level where she’d find clomping around in open-toed shoes an acceptable risk? If there’s one identifying feature that Sheila possesses — other than the most expressive eyebrows in the history of daytime TV — it’s the nine toes that she now sports. Come on people, *cough* Bradley Bell* cough,* Sheila has never been plumb stupid.
* Detective Sanchez (Jeremy Ray Valdez) really needs to take a sensitivity training class. Rather than express any sympathy for Finn or attempt to connect with him on a personal level, Sanchez merely suggests that the doc go to a zookeeper with any questions he might have about Sheila’s supposed mauling and exited stage left. Cold. Ice cold.
* Things That Only An Emotionally Stunted Alpha Jerk Would Say:
Bill: Everybody knew that [me and Katie] were going to end up together…Katie or Brooke. I was meant to be with one or the other.
Speaking of Bill, is it just me, or is he actually more upset over the fact that Justin Barber (Aaron D. Spears) found employment at Forrester Creations rather than Justin’s plan to send him to prison for a crime that he didn’t commit?
* Why was Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle) so surprised to find Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) at FC? Since when has he ever been punished for any of his wrongdoings?
